Mo'Nique's talk show put on hiatusAcademy Award winning actress Mo'Nique is about to have more time on her hands. BET has confirmed to CNN that her late night chat fest, "The Mo'Nique Show," has been placed on hiatus. The show, which has been on for two seasons, will continue through the summer the network said. "'The Mo’Nique Show' will be on production hiatus beginning in the fall," according to a statement from BET. "However, new episodes of the show will continue to air throughout the summer. Mo’nique Hicks and 'The Mo’Nique Show' are important to the Network and we look forward to continuing our relationship with her." But the actress may not be out of work for long. Variety reports that she's in talks to play a supporting role in the indie dramedy "Bumped," starring Katie Cassidy, Alex Gonzalez and Xenia Siamas.

I would love to know how this article about Monique's show turned into a "racial/political" issue? This is truly sad. The Monique Show has been a breathe of fresh air to BET, hopefully the break will allow her to come back renewed and refreshed.

I can't believe that these single digit I-Q people read anything on CNN.com. I would have thought that CNN drew more an intelligent group of people. "You People" who made those comments about Oprah and Monique are a bunch of idiots. Why are "You People" so afraid of intelligent and successful African Americans. This country would be much better off if it would allow our first African American President, President Obama to govern the nation the way that it should be governed but, again "You People" are so afraid of a strong, intellegent African American that you'd rather this country to go to hell than to give in to what President Obama advises is best for this country. Again I ask, what the hell are "You People" so afraid of.
Obama is the reason we're still going downhill. There has been no "change" for the better. We need an experienced businessman leading our country, not a socialist "community organizer" lawyer with no practical experience running any kind of business.
