JT and Fallon present the 'History of Rap, pt. 2'

When Justin Timberlake popped up on Jimmy Fallon's "Late Night" last fall, the duo created a "History of Rap" clip that quickly went viral.

The sight of JT and Fallon flowing to some of the industry's best offerings, from the Sugar Hill Gang to the Beastie Boys, was about as close to seeing Timberlake dip his toe back into music as fans could get.

Surely, such a video can't be topped, Timberlake told Fallon on his show Tuesday: "It's not going to happen; we can't do it again."

But of course, they did. Timberlake and Fallon paid homage to Salt-N-Pepa ("Push It"), Kurtis Blow ("The Breaks"), Lil Wayne ("A Milli") and Biz Markie's "Just a Friend" in "The History of Rap, Part 2." Check out the video (and Timberlake and Fallon hit their dougies) at the link.

Rap music should pay homage to James Brown & George Clinton who made it the popular music it is today. But there was alot of sampling from white bands too, (ask Rick Rubin), so of course white people can pay homage to it! Or trash it, if they don't like it! Just Timber (lol) & Jimmy Fallon are as good as any1, for that job. I do wish they had chosen the badass "Vapors" instead of the cartoonish "Just A Friend" for Biz Markie. Salt-n-Pepa have already gone down in history as 1 of the 1'st female rap super groups! I loved the 1'st installment of this show, hope part 2 is just as good! Doesn't matter if "you love it or hate it", it's important in the music industry!!

White boys rap and they're labeled "cool" , "awesome". Black boys rap and they're labeled "gangsters", "thugs".

I am truly offended by white people paying homage 2 hip hop. There r a few exceptions. Jimmy Fallon isnt one. I dont care if u hired The Roots as your house band!

So, it offends you for white people to respect, honor and enjoy hip hop? Why is that? Please elaborate

I like Justin Timberlake a lot. I really do. I think he's talented and very funny. But that being said I think calling anyone JT other than James Taylor is wrong. Only one JT friends.

I agree, they should call him Just Timber. Much more adequate of a nickname.
