While you were working...

Today's news you might've missed:

  • Supermodel Miranda Kerr opens up about the pain of giving birth to her and Orlando Bloom's son, Flynn. No kidding, Miranda. (Us Weekly)

  • Attention, Little Monsters! If you weren't the biggest fan of Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory" music video, the pop star could redeem herself with something more theatrical. She's hinting at a mermaid theme for her next single from "Born This Way."  (MTV)

  • Rihanna can add "underwear model" to her résumé come fall - the singer was named the newest face for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. (JustJared)

  • Apparently James Franco isn't superman - in a recent interview, he explained that his Oscar performance might have fallen flat because he wasn't given enough material to work with. (Huffington Post)

  • The holiday season is far from most of our thoughts, but check out the teaser trailer for the fantasy "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn," slated to be released on December 23. If the 2:24 minute trailer is any indicator, the graphics alone will make the film worth seeing. (Wired)

Jay-Z at work on new solo album

Jay-Z at work on new solo album

Now that Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaboration “Watch the Throne” is gearing up for a late summer release, Hov is trying to keep the creativity flowing as he works on another album.

The rapper, who last released “The Blueprint 3” in 2009, tells MTV that he’s already two tracks in on the new project, which he says are the best first two songs he’s ever done for a record.

Lest he lose his inspiration, Jay-Z says he’s got four other ideas rolling around as well.

"I know exactly the tone and the whole feel of the album," he says, although he doesn't hint as to what that tone might be. "I think when you experience creativity, you should get it out as much as possible."

“Watch the Throne” is expected to arrive August 2.

Casey Anthony book on the way

Casey Anthony book on the way

We knew the book deals were coming eventually.

According to the New York Times, St. Martin’s Press has lined up a book about Casey Anthony, who last week was found not guilty of murder in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter.

Written by forensic psychiatrist Keith Ablow, “Inside the Mind of Casey Anthony” will offer a “cogent, comprehensible way of understanding exactly how Casey Anthony’s psyche may have developed and how her psychological development and the dynamics within her family ended the life of Caylee Anthony,” a spokesperson for the publisher says in a statement.

“Whether readers liked or hated the jury’s verdict, Dr. Ablow will answer the question, Why is Caylee Anthony dead?” the statement continues.

The book is expected to arrive soon, as the publisher is said to be rushing the text to print this year, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Vinny makes a 'Shore' return

Vinny makes a 'Shore' return

Maybe Vinny Guadagnino just needed a little “Jersey Shore” vacation.

A week after reports that reality star Vin was through with “Shore” – he was seen packing up his stuff and heading for home – it appears he's returned to Seaside Heights.

He was spotted by TMZ carrying a bag presumably of laundry back to the reality set and hanging out with castmates over the weekend. Last week, MTV wouldn’t comment on rumors that Vinny had said adios for good, giving a statement that the network doesn't comment on shows while they're in production, so we’ll likely have to (surprise, surprise) watch the fifth season to see what actually happened.

In the meantime, Vinny will be present for season four – better known as “Jersey Shore does Italy” - which premieres on August 4.

'3rd Rock' actress gets in flight feud with Nadya Suleman

Mother of 14 Nadya Suleman seems to have ruffled a few feathers when she flew from New York to Los Angeles on Friday.

Suleman, who made a trip to the "Today" show on Friday, was flying back home from the Big Apple with her kids in business class when passengers found themselves stuck with a two-hour delay waiting for take off.

"3rd Rock from the Sun" actress Kristen Johnston happened to be in first class on the same flight, and according to TMZ, left her seat and exchanged words with Suleman over how her kids were behaving.

Monica marries again in 'lavish' ceremony

Monica marries again in 'lavish' ceremony

Once more, but this time with some extravagance: Monica and her husband, 25-year-old L.A. Lakers player Shannon Brown, had another wedding in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The “Angel of Mine” singer, 30, previously tied the knot with Brown in a very intimate ceremony (we're talking two-people-in-attendance intimate) at their L.A. home in November of last year.

This time around, the couple opted for a renovated 19th century cathedral in downtown L.A. to host the wedding that was attended by hundreds of family and friends, including Lala Vazquez, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher, reports People.

Did 'Seinfeld' help name baby Beckham?

Did 'Seinfeld' help name baby Beckham?

In addition to being born in the seventh month of the year, at 7:55 a.m., on the seventh day of the week (depending on who you ask) and weighing 7 pounds, Harper Seven’s footballer dad donned the No. 7 jersey when he played for Manchester United.

The Beckham’s ties to the number aside, some CNN.com commenters suggested Victoria and David took a cue from "Seinfeld’s" George Costanza when naming their first daughter.

“Seven - wasn't that George Costanza's choice for a baby’s name? Victoria must be a ‘Seinfeld’ fan!” commenter Mathjan suggested.

'Curb' is back (and everyone's divorced)!

[Editor's Note: Larry David, Susie Essman & Jeff Garlin from "Curb Your Enthusiasm" returned to HBO on Sunday, but first they dropped by “The Joy Behar Show.” Larry discusses a possible return to stand-up as well as a look back at when he once had hair. See the full interview on “The Joy Behar Show” at 10 p.m. ET only on HLN.]

Anyone thinking that Larry and Cheryl David had finally made up at the end of last season was sadly mistaken, as we saw in the opening moments of Tuesday night's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" premiere.

Cheryl turned out to be the one who didn't "respect wood" when it came to leaving glasses on furniture, and when Larry told her to call Julia Louis-Dreyfus to apologize for her coaster-less ways, that was the last straw.

One year later, they were well into divorce proceedings, but Larry was confident with his lawyer (Paul F. Tompkins, the latest in a long line of great actors in bit roles on this show). Little did he know that he wasn't Jewish, as believed, which ended up getting him replaced with another attorney who helped settle a restaurant dispute.

Ten questions with 'Glee's' Coach Beiste

Ten questions with 'Glee's' Coach Beiste

Although Dot-Marie Jones has been acting for nearly 20 years, it wasn't until "Glee" that she found a part she said she'd gladly play for the rest of her life.

Jones - better known as Coach Beiste - had previously worked with "Glee" creators and writers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk on "Nip/Tuck" and an unaired pilot called "Pretty/Handsome." After falling in love with the show's first season, she begged them to write her a part for season 2.

Although Jones isn't sure if Coach Beiste will be back for season 3, she did spill details on why she loves the character, what she's been up to this summer - which includes being a guest judge on "RuPaul's Drag U," airing tonight at 9 p.m. ET on Logo - and who she'd like to arm wrestle on the show.

Lots of puppy love on 'Ice Loves Coco'

Lots of puppy love on 'Ice Loves Coco'

Finally, a true star got his time to shine on Sunday's episode of "Ice Loves Coco." Ice-T and Coco's dog Spartacus is a bonafide star in Hollywood, complete with an agent named Cat.

Here's the thing to know about Spartacus: Coco is his stage mom and Ice-T is the reluctant dad. Coco not only wants to be a star with her own clothing line (more on that later) but she also apparently wants to make even her dog famous. As a result, Spartacus was booked for a doggie calendar shoot. I can't wait for her to be a real mother; I can just see her now in a future episode of "Toddlers & Tiaras."

So as the day for the calendar shoot draws near, Coco promises the dog agent that Spartacus has been trained for shoots and well...he hasn't. And so we begin operation "train my dog quickly so my doggie agent doesn't know I lied."
