Newlyweds duke it out on Twitter, morning shows

We’ll say this for Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton - they’re not afraid of a little friendly competition.

Country music’s prince and princess went head to head on two network morning shows. Lambert sang on ABC’s “Good Morning America Summer Concert Series” and Shelton appeared on NBC’s “Today.”

Even while on set, the two were exchanging teasing messages via Twitter about whose appearance would garner more attention. The conversation went from cute, "watch me, not him" tweets to a battle about whether Lambert’s breasts would win out (she says she has six in total, counting her new all-girl trio Pistol Annie):

Of course the couple is still in their honeymoon phase, so the Twitter duel didn’t get too out of hand. Lambert finished with this tweet: “I love u @blakeshelton. Your my Honey Bee!”

Shelton’s “Honey Bee” single has risen to the top of the country charts, staying at No. 1 for four consecutive weeks. According to Taste of Country, Shelton now holds the record for the fastest-selling digital platinum single for a male country solo artist.

Lambert’s career is also on a high. Her latest hit “Heart Like Mine” rose to the top of the charts and she’s currently recording two new albums.
