Was Prince Albert's wedding kiss a little...awkward?Was it just us or was something amiss when Monaco's Prince Albert and his new bride Charlene Wittstock shared a kiss at both the religious and civil ceremonies this past weekend? Maybe it was nerves, the rampant rumors she tried to bolt before the wedding, or perhaps Wittstock was too keenly aware that millions would watch her get married to one of the world’s most notorious bachelors. Either way, it seems that we're not the only ones buzzing about the shy smooch. What do you think?

Prince Albert is an awkward enough name,let alone him kissing a woman.
Sorry, I know he is a prince, but I would hate to be her...She finally came to life and looked lovingly at him and got NOTHING..He is one cold fish....They'll be divorced soon, they said she was a runaway bride she should of fled!!!!!!!!!!!run run run...................................
She tried to leave several times before the wedding but her passport was taken from her and she was not allowed to leave. There was even supposedly a "watch for her" at the airport just in case she slipped out of the palace undetected.
He's....oh, how do I say this nicely.... GAY!
Maybe she decided she didn't want to marry a sleazeball womanizing (alleged) rapist and tried to leave. Then they made her an offer she couldn't refuse. Maybe they gave her a billion $$ to marry him and stay a year, or maybe they threatened to hurt her family? Or maybe she's pregnant. Just guessing, not accusing. Just guessing, guessing, guessing. I'm also guessing there's no love lost between these two.
I think this must have been a business transaction. She tried to leave 2 or 3 times only to have her passport taken from her a few days before the ceremony. She will get paid big time to have a kid then she will bow out. He can go on philandering and making more illegitimate children.

OH, PUH-LEASE! Just because two people from conservative, upper-crust society do not feel like snogging with tongues in front of millions of people, he's gay? I do not think this is a fair assumption at all.
I would say that this may be more a case of decorum – something a LOT of people just do NOT understand.

I have 2 biological children from a previous marriage. I was married to a woman. Finally came out to family that I was gay. Just because someone has children is no indication that they are straight. We should never assume.
II don't know about the rest of the men out there, but I could spend a little bit more time on a kiss for this lady.
I liked how her father was wiping sweat off his brow – Like "Whew! Didn't think we were going to get to marry her off a prince, but we did it! Go us!"
She looks like she has had a lot of work done on her face. Maybe her lips won't pucker like they are supposed to in a kiss, and her face is just stuck in a permanent "smile" because of the work??
She looked just gorgeous and seems sweet. God bless her. I wish them both the best.
It was awkward because she tried to flee before the weeding as news came out that he likely fathered a 3rd illigitimate child who was recently born, meaning he was cheating on his new wife while they were dating.... Honestly, he's a pig who should be GLAD that someone as pretty, smart and athletic as she is actually agreed to marry that sack of garbage.

he kissed herfirst and you could tell he didnt like the way she kissed him, (he turned to look at her and his eyebrows went up..the fake kiss and head laying on the shoulder on the balc was for show. ( tried to be like William and kate... And then at the marriage, you could tell he gave her some of what he got, she was looking at him but he wasnt looking at her.She turned and you could see the dissapointment in her face....
It looks like too much botox/fillers to me. I don't think she could smile if she wanted to. She could barely move her lips.
She'll be gone within 2 years.

The former east block heads of states kissed more passionately. But they hadn't lived together in close quarters for some five years.
There's definitely something amiss in their interaction throughout their wedding(s). I wish it were not true, and that they were deeply in love with each other because she is a beautiful addition to this sad Grimaldi family and I think would make a lovely family for Prince Albert.

Ugh, he should have followed in his father's footsteps and married an actress, because this young lady was unable to hide her emotions and act like she was in love. Her body language expressed disgust.

Prince Albert is sad about "officially settling dPrince Albert is gay! Not in a million years. If he were on the British monarch he would definitely not have those other children. What the media and most people don't seem to realize is that they are not going to have a major smooch when the world is watching! A chaste kiss is fine.
She's not stupid and had to know something about what she was getting into. Even if she doesn't "love" him, she'll still have all the advantages of a royal, cushy life. All she has to do, is produce and heir, and she'll be set. "Passionate" love (attraction) never lasts anyway. Why not go for the lifestyle?
This marriage is destined to go the Charles and Diana route: a year or two of forced happiness, some obligatory kids, misery, affairs and finally, an overdue divorce.

That's the strangest looking pair of newlyweds I've ever seen. The only way they could have looked more awkward together is if they both had guns to their heads. This really looks like a wedding of convenience. If that's not the case, "f" may be right about what's going on and is certainly right about the "ick" factor. So sad. I hope we are all wrong about this marriage and that it works out for them.

Prince Albert is a notorious ladies man, just a little metro. She's no Grace Kelly, but she'll be around long enough to produce some heirs and spares to the throne.
