Sheen roast to air same day as Kutcher's 'Men' debutCharlie Sheen and his “Two and a Half Men” replacement, Ashton Kutcher, will have a TV face-off of sorts come fall. Comedy Central’s “Roast of Charlie Sheen” is set to air the same day as “Men’s” ninth season premiere, which marks Kutcher’s series debut. However, viewers will have some time to recoup between the CBS sitcom and the primetime roasting as they'll air an hour apart. “Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast … which scares even us,” said Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production at Comedy Central. The roast will tape in Los Angeles, California, on September 10, according to the network. “Two and a Half Men” and the “Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen” will air on Monday, September 19 at 9 p.m. EST and 10 p.m. EST, respectively.

Two And A Half Men will do good for 2-4 weeks, then the ratings will tank.
Nothing against Ashton, but a sitcom is all about chemistry. Sheen had it with his co-stars.
Sheen will be great sport during the roast.
Sheen has never been bashful about being a badboy, he will revel in the criticism, and his image will improve.
I'd rather chew broken glass and gargle with Drano than watch Ashton Kutcher in ANYTHING> he is a no talent hack famous for banging a woman old enough to be his mother. His acting sucks. Good god they couldn't have picked a better or funnier actor?
anyone think they'll invite "The Situation" back for another roast??? I mean you can't go wrong with a celebrity who's life is on a downward spiral ending in flames, and a tool-bag orange moron trying to spit out jokes....(all sarcasm).
This roast is going to suck because Greg Giraldo isn't there. He would've roasted Charlie Sheen back into his dad's onion bag.

Why would they need a faceoff..seriously..charlie you were a good actor who choose to act like an idiot and do stupid crap..You need to own up to the stuff you did..accept it and move on..I am sure Ashton will do a great job..so don't go getting on your high horse and coming down on him..he is a good actor and right now..his rep is clean..:) Unlike yours..I stopped watching two adn a half men..over the years after following your first rate act off the screen. I will be watching Ashton because I am very curious to see what happens. I do wonder if Charlie will be sober for the roast. He's really aged since all this began.

Geoff, your Joe Blow theory was interesting, but to be fair, Charlie Sheen is not the only drugged out crazy celeb, who has gotten one too many chances, yet Charlie is singled out? Hollywood loves a comeback, & with the right show, Charlie can be really good! I much rather have Charlie back on tv to entertain, than some of the reality crap we see on tv. If you don't like Charlie than don't tune in!:P

What is with all the Charlie hate? Whatever. Charlie had a huge manic meltdown, but he has been laying low for awhile now, & it would be GREAT to see him back working! Joe Blow has lived 30 years without harming anyone. He happens to cut someone's throat with a knife and watches them bleed to death. But Joe Blow, you say, has been a law-abiding part of society for 30 years. He deserves another chance. Chucky Sheen has had more chances than any middle class American and he's still managed to screw up over and over and over. Good riddance to him and those who support him! Our country doesn't need crap like that!
Um, Geoff? Perhaps you should gain a touch of perspective. I pretty much despise Charlie Sheen and Two and a Half Men, but "cut someone's throat and watch them bleed to death"? Being a hyper-public vainglorious jerk is annoying, but it's not even in the same ballpark as what you're describing. I think maybe you're the one who needs to do some growing up.
Perspective – read my post again. Nowhere did I make a comparison between what Chucky Sheen did and what a killer does. My criticism was in the logic that the original poster tossed out there that had no merit whatsoever. Using her rational we should allow everyone second, third, fourth, and fifth chances. Reaper, you silly person. Did you really Ashton would be "acting" just because he's on tv? Men should bow out gracefully while they are ahead. Conchita Ferrell will have a hard time carrying the show without Charlie. Everyone just admit you watched it for Charlie Sheen no matter how nuts he is he still makes us laugh.

Charlie Sheen had at least substance in his role, Ashton Kutcher is such a wishy washy actor, how could they even consider him as a replacement.
