DJ Paulie to DJ Pauly D: I want my name backWhat's in a name? According to Paul "DJ Paulie" Lis, his career. The South Windsor, Connecticut DJ filed a lawsuit Thursday against MTV and other companies that have promoted Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio alleging that the "Jersey Shore" star has misappropriated his name, according to the Hartford Courant. Lis, who's been going by the stage name since 1973 and also has it trademarked, says that Pauly D's climb to fame has eclipsed his ability to get his own version of "Paulie" out there.
"Anytime you search DJ Paulie, his name and face come up. I can't compete," Lis said. He also claims that “before the show went on the air, my website was very successful and getting attention from national advertisers. Now, I’ve pretty much been wiped off the Google map.” According to Radar Online, Lis’s lawyer says that the DJ's primary goal is to get his name – and, as he puts it, his reputation – back. “I don’t want to be associated with that show, the drinking, the violence,” Lis said. “I’ve prided myself in being G-rated. ‘Jersey Shore’ is hardly family entertainment. The show is hurting my business. It’s ruining my reputation.”

Several blogs & websites out there now are Boycotting The Jersey Shore DJ Pauly and his Sponsors. Any Artist associated with DJ Pauly is an Instant Kiss Of Death of their career. Britney Spears Concert Sales are Proof it's working.
LOL. An over 30 years old Pauly D acting like he is still in high school - that is so dumb. Pauly D trying to pick up underage girl - that is so wrong and he should be arrested. He has a buddy called "the situation" - that is so gay. That Jersey show is so stupid and I dont know anyone who watches it except for the few losers at my school and I mean real LOSERS.
I hope people boycott the stupid Jersey Shore and Pauly D. It's immoral and I guess its for morons who dont know better. How can anyone condone a show that make popular of an over thirty years old Pauly D trying to act like he is still in high school. What is sick is that this Pauly D guy was trying to pick up underage girl on the show. I boycotted the JS show after watching one episol. It makes me sick just like the verdict of the Casey Anthony trial.
I wish you would listen to DJ Paulie's Internet Show on youshook. Paulie has been talking about this since the second week the Jersey Shore aired. MTV has failed to respond to his attorney letters to stop. They can not get the a Trademark from the copyright office because of Paulie's Show and Music Company. Pauly D & MTV is using the DJ Paulie name because of how famous his show is worldwide. Look at the website rankings in the US standings...He's blows Pauly D away by over 100,000 plus in popularity. Finally Pauly D's days are numbered. DJ Paulie has always protected his Trademark name in the past...I believe he had said on his show that this will be his ninth or tenth DJ Pauly that he has stopped. His current Twitter, Facebook and a DJ Pauly Music were proof that DJ Pauly D doesn't have a leg to stand on and he knows it. Paulie would not be dropping thousands / millions of dollars if he had any doubts whatsoever.
Another case of Big Corporate America not following the laws and getting special treatment. DJ Paulie owns the TradeMark and these clowns were shot down three times from the TradeMark office on getting their own name I've read. Turned down because someone else owns it already "DJ Paulie". Either buy the name outright or change your character name on TV. Pretty cut and dry Don't you think? DJ Paulie is the king of the Internet with his show. MTV is just jealous is all.
I'm going to support this because I dislike Pauly D, not because I like this DJ Paulie fellow.
If DJ Paulie were smart, he'd just trademark the name "DJ Paulie Dee from The Jerzee Shore", (all together like that) and become a multi-thousandaire.

If DJ Paulie D has had the name since 1973 and hadn't done nothing with it in 37 year then she ain't. That Jersey Shore guy should be able to capitalize on the name.

DJ Paulie should win the suit. Despite what others think – its not the name differences here – it has to do with webmasters playing games on DJ Pauly Ds name. His webmaster as well as other webmasters in the chain are using the sites to keep DJ Paulie from actually coming up in the rating systems. Meaning no hits in any result lists.
Google & other search engines can go by search words or meta tags if they are posted in error to include a ton of similar words – they will drive others down the food chain out.
DJ Pauly D and all who work for him or management sites – need to be clued into the realities of the web – don't use meta tags or similar words in your website headers – its just not financially safe anymore. Hope DJ Paulie gets at least 5 million from DJ Pauly D and another $5 mil from MTV.
To clarify – Its how the websites created for DJ Pauly D & the show are setup. The show and all of its environs of his career are basically keeping DJ Paulie from actually working. If people can't search for you on the web – your effectively doing kids parties and probably only local weddings. I feel for DJ Paulie

Another senior citizen trying desperately to get some money to pay for his pills. He had the stage name since 1973 and his career has been hurting lately. It has nothing to do with the fact that he is 65 years old and G rated its because of DJ Pauly D.

This just in, Pauly Shore sues both DJ's saying they infringed on the massive popularity he attained in the 90's. He wants them both to cease and desist any use of the Paulie/Pauly name or his 'Buddddy' catchphrase. (What a stupid story...slow news day)
There are other DJ's using the name of DJ Paulie, why doesn't this DJ Paulie from CT sue others for using the same name for Dee Jaying, I am sure that this other Paulie who spells it DJPauly who spells it different anyway is not hurting this CT DJ Paulie. CT DJpaulie can not sue because someone is using the same same or a name that is spelled differently. Its Not like using Burger King or Kentucky Fried Chcken. CT DJPaulie is just looking to make money, make a name for himself and I would not hire him because DJPaulie may sue me for something and his not that great of a DJ. DJPaulie does not own the right to use that name, he may have it registered in CT for taxes. Its like know how many Bobs Garages and Joes places there are, his business is hurting because his not that great and feels his better than others plus there are a zillion DJ's who won't over charge like DJPaulie does plus the IRS May want to investigate DJPaulie for filing to to declare the real amount he makes.

According to the website Alexa. DJ Paulie is blowing away Pauly D when it's a battle between the two of their websites. Check out the US Rankings there. DJ Paulie will spend over 2 million dollars fighting 10 major companies in his lawsuit. I heard the rumor a famous search engine is buying a percentage of youshook. My brother works on the NY Stock Exchange. Pauly D doesn't make much playing in hundred seat bars in Hartford.
This "DJ Paulie" character needs to quit whining. Other people in the world are DJs and have the name Paul. He just wants to get paid for doing nothing.
It's called "trademark infringement" - it's real and exists for a purpose. Look it up, genius.
