Unemployed winner that he is – according to his Twitter profile – Charlie Sheen is keeping people talking.
The 45-year-old actor is at the center of a new round of reports on whether he’s found a new job on TV and what will become of his character on “Two and a Half Men.”
In May there were headlines that Sheen was preparing to return to television as early as January, and now a report has surfaced claiming that Lionsgate Television has worked out a sitcom deal with the actor. TBS (which, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner) was supposedly one of the networks interested in the program.
While Lionsgate hasn’t commented, a TBS rep told the Hollywood Reporter that the network “is not in discussions for a possible project with Charlie Sheen.”
And as Ashton Kutcher prepares to join the “Two and a Half Men” crew, TMZ cites unnamed sources who claim that the CBS show is planning to have Sheen's character Charlie Harper wind up six feet under when the comedy returns in September.
TMZ notes that the script is not finalized, so we’ll have to wait and see if that rumor ever comes true.
