Network pulls Ryan Dunn's new showFollowing the death of "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn, G4 has placed his new show on hiatus. Deadline.com reports the network has placed "Proving Ground" on indefinite hiatus after Dunn was killed in a car crash Monday. The show premiered on June 14 and featured Dunn recreating stunts from films and movies. According to Deadline, "Proving Ground" premiered to a small audience of 31,000 and there were eight more episodes remaining.
"The show will not be airing for now and discussions are underway re: future plans," a G4 spokeswoman told Deadline. Dunn, 34, and a passenger were killed when the 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 he was driving was involved in a fiery car crash on a Pennsylvania highway early Monday. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. |

Hiatus? is this a joke? The guy is dead. Seems that goes without saying that the show would be OVER. Like his life is OVER due to his own stupidity.
It's a shame he and his passanger died. But that's what one bad decision can do. I hope the network looks to replace the host for this show as it looks like it will be fun to watch.

I certainly hope the person posing as me is enjoying him or her self. I actually think ryan died doing what he loved, which was being extreme. Its a shame he took anothers life though.

i think it really is a shame. on the movies he seemed like an incredibly nice and deacent person.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash..the guy was driving drunk in an excess of 167 mph, intentionally endangering the lives of others. Sounds pretty cut and dry to me.
Give him a break. He may have been driving 162 mph, but he had his arm out signaling.

guess they gotta pull it off air for now. would be a bit eerie watching the show right after the wreck. it feels a little weird to watch pitchmen reruns and billy mays has been dead a few years
