The people have spoken: That's enough, Amy Winehouse.
The British singer arrived about an hour late to her concert in Belgrade, Serbia, only to fumble through her lyrics and get booed off the stage. Subsequently, her rep told CNN that the next two tour dates of her 12-stop European tour have been canceled.
In a statement to EW.com, Winehouse's publicist said, "She would like to apologize to fans expecting to see her at the shows, but feels that this is the right thing to do."
Winehouse joins the ranks of stars like Ashlee Simpson and Kanye West, who audiences love to hate. Here are some of the top-ranking failures... or perhaps the best boos: FULL POST
After weeks of silence, Cheryl Cole is speaking out about being let go from "X Factor" and thanking her fans for standing by her.
"I have had the weirdest past few weeks (nothing unusual there though). I wouldn't even know how to begin to tell you all about it," the former Girls Aloud singer writes on her website. "What I do know for certain is that I have the BEST, most unbelievable people out there, who I feel so lucky to call my support system."
The British beauty, who was reportedly dropped as a judge from the U.S. edition of "X Factor" because her English accent was too thick for American audiences, adds that she is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love.
Tributes have flowed following the death of legendary rock saxophonist and E Street Band member, Clarence Clemons.
Bon Jovi performed "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" as a tribute to Clemons during a concert in Denmark Sunday night. The site NME.com reports that U2 frontman Bono honored the "Big Man" Saturday during U2's concert at Anaheim's Angel Stadium.
"I want you to think about Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band," Bono told the crowd. "I want you to think of Clarence Clemons. This man has carried music, and music carried him until this day." FULL POST
Harry Potter fans aren't the only ones wondering what J.K. Rowling has planned for her new Pottermore Web site — even star Daniel Radcliffe has been left in the dark.
“I know nothing about that whatsoever,” Radcliffe tells the L.A. Times of the site, which features two owls, Rowling's signature, and a "Coming Soon" teaser touting the author's June 23 announcement about her new venture. “I’m sure that Jo will be writing a lot more in the coming years. I’m sure she has a lot more in her than we’ve read and a lot more stories to tell. As long as they don’t involve Harry, I’m quite happy to buy them."
Radcliffe, currently starring on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," adds that he has no interest in reprising his role as the world's most famous boy wizard after "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" wraps up the film franchise in July.
"I don't know, the idea of going back to something after 10 or 20 years? At that point, I will have worked 20 years to establish a career outside of it," he explains, "and at that point to go back to it would feel a little self-defeating.”
In the upcoming raunchy comedy "Bad Teacher," Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake play high-school instructors who explore the subject of the birds and the bees with a fully clothed sex scene. For Diaz, getting intimate with her ex-boyfriend wasn't nearly as awkward as it might have been with another actor in the role.
"That would have been kind of weird to do with someone I didn't know and trust," the actress, who dated Timberlake from 2003 to 2007, tells the L.A. Times. "With somebody else I may not have known where it stood, but we know where it stands."
Diaz added that Timberlake gave his all to their over-the-top encounter.
As New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys enjoy a career comeback with a joint concert tour, *NSYNC star Lance Bass is hoping to have a hit of his own. The singer is producing a new reality show that aims to find the ultimate boy band.
"It's going to be really fun," Bass tells Vulture. "It's a really great music show, starring all your favorite boy bands."
