Oprah: I want O.J. to confess to meHer iconic talk show may be over, but Oprah Winfrey still has a dream interview. “I have a dream of O.J. Simpson confessing to me,” Winfrey said. “And I am going to make that happen, people.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, the remarks were made during a Q & A at the National Cable and Telecommunications Association's annual Cable Show held at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center. Paula Zahn, host of "Investigation Discovery," interviewed Winfrey Thursday, and the talk show host discussed being committed to growing her OWN network and that elusive guest she still wants to book. “I don’t just want the interview,” Winfrey said. “I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson.”

Actually you are wrong the term you are looking for is a defense tactic called double jeopardy, which is in the fifth amendment. It states "[no person shall] be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb". Basically if you have been already acquitted of a crime it forbids your from being tried again for the same or similar crime, even if new evidence is brought to light. Now there are some exceptions to this, but you will have to read them yourself.

In a court of law (in the United States) you are innocent until proven guilty. So if you are proven "Not Guilty", you are innocent of the crime charged against you. He's not guilty in the legal system... he still killed those people though. True, he could sue you for libel if someone wrote that, or slander if you say it, but aquittal isn't magic. If police didn't have a history of framing people – particularly non-white people – the inconsistencies in the prosecution's story wouldn't have produced "reasonable doubt". Remember, this wasn't a hung jury. All 12 came back and said he was not guilty.

The video of the room with no sock at 4:00 then with a bloody sock at 4:15, through and through blood on the socks but they were supposed to be on someones foot, preservatives in the blood found, not able to determine time of death from the medical examiner with 2 bodies, a bowl of half melted ice cream on the coffee table at Nicole Simpsons house at 3:30am, the bruno mali shoes that were never found to match with a footprint at the crime scene, the bloody glove found in the middle of a back yard in the dark but no blood drops leading to where they were dropped on anywhere at the Simpsons home, the vial of blood that was taken from OJ and delivered 4 hours later only 3/4's full when the location it was taken at and where it was supposed to be delivered were 2 blocks away and a police officer who admitted he took it to the home. Oh and the bloody glove didn't even fit the hands of OJ and they didn't shrink. All this was presented to the Jury who found him when asked by the Judge How do you find this defendant stated "Not Guilty"

I'm no expert. None of us are. However, what I do know is that OJ's son Jason may have been the actual killer. Police questioned him and he asked for an attourney and refused to ask questions. I could be wrong. But, Jason disliked Nicole, was a chef and had access to professional cutting utensils and has mental problems. I might be led to believe that O.J. is protecting his son.
If O.J. ratted out his son, his son can still be charged. At this point, O.J. will probably die in prison. Him confessing probably won't change anything.

A factual finding of innocence was never declared and rarely is. The prosecution was flawed and that's why he was not convicted. The defense got the dumbest people in L.A. on the jury and that's how O.J. got off.

A few years ago Oprah had an "expert" on prejudice on the show. The expert ran an experiment to show how prejudice works. After the experiment was over and the discussion started the expert tried to start the experiment again. This shows a lack of professionalism. did Oprah try to get the discussion back on track no. But here comes the winning part of the game. I wrote to complain about the lack of professionalism and the poor display by both the expert and Oprah. A few days later what happens, I get a call from one of the producers. the discussion started out with me bing asked if I would come on the show, then it degraded on her part by trying to get me to admit I was a red neck bigot. Not likely. I had just spent over 16 years working for and with people of other races, and my wife is of a different race. So where is the real prejudice?

WOW!! I remember watching her show when he was apprehended and her supporting him as a maligned black man. I also remember her saying that there was anger towards white women for marrying black men. Kind of holding onto the black public attack on Nicole Brown (the murder victim) as justified. A civil trial conviction IS NOT the same thing (especially a conviction garnered in Simi Valley, CA where less thatn 1/2 of 1% is black, hispanic or latino. A man is no convicted in the court of law and people still think he's guilty. Michael Jackson was not convicted, yet they say he's still guilty. Robert Blake got off, no one speaks of him. Craig – I'm not saying there wasn't a race factor in the OJ trial but your comment is racist too. To say that white people only cared because Nicole Brown was white is completely inaccurate. This was a high profile football player – people would have cared no matter what color the victim's skin was. And maybe you like to believe that white people only care about white people and black people only care about black people, but that is not the way the majority of people operate. I'm sure there were some racist white people who would have thought he was guilty even if the evidence had pointed to someone else. But it goes both ways. The fact is that the evidence pointed to OJ, and not to anyone else. The evidence was overwhelming that he did it and his book was basically a confession. So this a man who murdered his wife. There really is no justification for people being happy he got away with it and I really doubt that very many people, black or white, DID feel that way. If people were happy with the acquittal it was because they believed he was being framed. Looking back now, I would hope they can see that that is not what happened and just be happy that he's doing time now for one of his many other misdeeds.

He IS guilty. He was acquitted in the criminal trial but found financially liable in the civil trial. He wrote a book about how he "hypothetically" killed her, with details consistent with the crime. Innocent people do NOT do that. He was messing with everyone and gloating because he got away with murder. His blood was found at the crime scene, Nicole's blood was found on a pair of his socks at his house, blood from both victims was found in the Bronco, and the glove left at the crime scene had blood from OJ and the two victims on it. There were bloody footprints made by a pair of size 12 boots and OJ wears size 12. The boots were identified as Bruno Maglis – which are rare. He denied owning the boots but later photos of him surfaced in which he was wearing boots that matched the floody footprint. These photos were from a time right before the murders. A man in dark sweats was seen at the murder scene, OJ returned home wearing dark sweats and was seen by his limo driver. OJ had threatened to kill his wife on numerous occasions and she had expressed prior to her murder that she feared he would kill her. If all of that wasn't enough or you believe the stories that police planted evidence, there was the car chase where OJ at one point held a gun to his own head. He failed a polygraph test, told conflicting stories concerning the cuts that were on his hand, and expressed no surprise on hearing that Nicole was dead. He settled on telling police that he had cut his hand while in Chicago, evidently on a glass found broken in his hotel room. This glass had no signs of blood on it. He also swore he's track down the real killer, yet never hired an investigator, and refused offers by private investigators to work for him for free.
His defense attorneys were excellent, the murder weapon was never found, and the prosecution, police officers, and forensic investigators were less than perfect. But he did it.
Sahra, His blood was not found at the the crime scene – It was planted at the crime scene by the dective and proven so by the FBI lab test. Then they took pictures of it claiming they had, that was also shown to have been taken, after the fact by the FBI. When the blood was examined it was shown to be blood taken at the police station after he was arrested. It had a preserative in it and the drawn blood had come up missing. Still guility, I think so, but the jury did there job right. Resonable doubt has to rule in our justice system. The detective should have been put in jail, not called a hero.

In reference to the OJ confession, I don't want to be the one to bring bad news, but, OJ never committed murder, yes he had knowledge, and was there after the fact, but, he did not commit the crime. I have said from day one it was his Jason from a previous marriage.
I have been a teaching astrologer for the last 20 years and if you look at OJ birth chart there is no murder aspect there, however, if you look at Jason chart it shows a murder aspect. never returned to his job and the Murder weapon was never found.
Jason has an Serious Anger Control Issues and had spent time in Psychiatric Wards once
stabbing himself in front of his Girlfriend who he threatened to kill.
Jason was diagnosed with intermittent Explosive Disorder and had been taking medication for
5 years.
Jason was on parole for beating up a former employer.
OJ hired him a lawyer the day after the Murders.
It might appear that OJ took the rap for his son, maybe even blaming himself for Jason's
anger. Jason tried to be part of his half siblings lives but had always harboured
resentment since he was 7 when Nicole had split up his parents marriage at around the time
his brother died in pool accident.
The police had OJ in their sights as the killer and didn't bother to properly exclude
others.

Much like Oprahs weight, and OJs temper, this blog went out of control in a hurry.
Oprah has made her millions by harvesting the miseries of common people and then spinning it into gold. Her phony sanctimonious self empowerment is akin to a brainwashing cult. She is taking advantage of you and your friends...Hasn't Nicole's children suffered enough? And now she wants to be a savior and make him confess? Seriously Oprah. She is not better than the paparrazi.
You have to laugh, because the negative comments are from people who have never seen her show, because if you have, you are either brain dead with no idea what the concept of helping people mean, or your just in denial. Either way, sad for you. And Christopher Darden (OJ's defense) before he died, said himself the man was guilty. It pretty much made him sick til the end of his life.

I can't believe that there are so many responders that still don't believe OJ was guilty. Just to remind them, being found not guilty is not the same as being innocent. Just goes to show what can happen when you have the best team of lawyers money can buy.

I'm not rabid on her tho I sound it, It's just the show I've managed to catch have been mostly for the good and this woman deserves what she has.
Good luck with that one Oprah! OJ is such a pathological liar I think he actually has HIMSELF convinced he didn't do it. Although his lawyer Kardashian disposed of the evidence for him, the cops totally bungled the case, the DA's were dimwits, and the judge was more interested in his next photo op than actually presiding over the trial, I think OJ is paying for those murders every second of his waking life. His all important reputation and public perception of him were destroyed, he lost his home, his posessions, the love and respect of anyone who mattered to him, and now he's sitting in a Nevada prison. Granted, it's not as satisfying as the death by lethal injection verdict he deserved, but it's not a walk in the park either. He's a ruined shell of what used to be a human being. A repulsive waste of skin killing time until he has to meet his maker. That's not going to be too much fun for him either.

This is a comment/opinion forum so if someone wants to say that justice wasn't served, that's what they have every right to say and if you don't like it, that's your tough luck. Something is seriously wrong with Oprah. I knew when she started all that talk about how women don't need men and that women should not deal with men that had bad credit that she was phony. Its easy to say that when your a billionaire. Then she went on to talk bad about religion and marriage. Then she went even further to say that a family and kids does not have any substance today. Now she is trying to exploit the public once more by bringing up old new and dirt. She is garbage.

It is and always will be an iterative process of legislative refinement towards an ideal of judicial perfection that it will never reach. To worship it mindlessly, like you do, is just as dangerous and stupid as judging it worthless or evil. The OJ case was an example of how the system can be manipulated by big money. If that was your poor @$$ on the stand you would have been six feet under the ground, plain and simple. Same crime, same evidence, same jury, and there's not a chance in hell that you would have walked free. The OJ trial was the best "justice" money can buy.
