If there's one thing people remember about last year's season of "So You Think You Can Dance," it's all the injuries, especially Alex Wong (judge/executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is still addressing questions about it).
Lythgoe and fellow judge Mary Murphy answered more questions on Tuesday at a "SYTYCD" event on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, and Lythgoe told iReporter Chris Morrow that - despite a change in the show's format that producers hoped might limit injuries - they already have their first dancer sitting out an episode this year.
"A shoulder has been popped, so one of our boys will not be performing," he said. "Mitchell (Kelly), who is injured will take a week off."
Lythgoe added that last year's top three contender (and potential all-star?) Robert Roldan will dance with Mitchell's partner instead.
With quite a few skilled tap-dancers this season, Lythgoe also said that tap routine pairings are certainly possible as well: "We'll put in samba or tap, and if both people can tap, then they'll do the tap."
