Everyone’s a critic: Reality show group roundsI’m a pop culture fanatic, and have been for years. But sometimes our friends need a little tough love. And that’s what this blog is all about – pointing out frustrations, foibles and bad decisions from the week in pop culture. What jumped out at me last week was something from the Las Vegas semi-finals on “So You Think You Can Dance.” If you’re not familiar with the show, Las Vegas serves the same purpose as Hollywood on “American Idol” – putting contestants who make it past the initial auditions through a grueling week of challenges. Gaga's meat dress headed for Hall of FameHow can we possibly forget Lady Gaga's meat dress? You know, the one she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Whether it was flank steak or thinly sliced brisket sewn together, it was, for her, a pretty conservative outfit. Gaga has some racy costumes, and while she showed a lot of flesh in the Franc Fernandez -Nichola Formichetti designed dress, that time it wasn't her own. The garment received a lot of press, with some praising its originality while others had a beef with it, including PETA who released this statement: 'Glee' star pulled and producer wants 'The Boss'Note to Gleeks: please handle the stars gently. During a performance of the "Glee Live! In Concert" tour stop in Washington, D.C., co-star Darren Criss took to Twitter after he was yanked off stage following a rousing rendition of Queen's "Somebody to Love." "To the lady who pulled me off the stage and into the pit tonight: if I ever see you on a stage... keep your wits about ya. Love, Darren!" he tweeted. 'Matchmaker' Patti Stanger: 'Men can dupe you'Having been cheated on recently, “Millionaire Matchmaker” Patti Stanger has a lot to say about Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner, who recently admitted to sending lewd photographs to women online. “Men can dupe you,” the matchmaking reality star tells CNN, adding that his wife of less than one year, Huma Abedin, probably never saw it coming. "(It's a) new marriage," Stanger said. "I’m sure she didn’t know." Maria Shriver, however, is a different story, she says. FULL POST 'Pretty Little Liars': It's almost time!“Pretty Little Liars’” first season finale left its 3.6 million viewers dumbfounded in their living rooms, willing season 2 to begin. Well, it’s finally here. In a matter of hours, we’ll rejoin Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily on their quest for answers regarding their friend Alison’s untimely death. And thanks to the series of inexplicable events that left Ian dangling lifeless in a church bell tower, we have another missing person - or missing body, rather - to investigate. Hugh Hefner's fiancee calls off the weddingThe third time apparently won't be the charm for Hugh Hefner. The Playboy founder, married twice before, confirmed via Twitter that his 25-year-old fiancée Crystal Harris has called off the couple's impending wedding. Back in February, Harris was announcing on "Piers Morgan Tonight" that she was all set to marry Hef on June 18. The Playboy Playmate gushed about the wedding details, noting that her best friend and her sisters were on board to be her bridesmaids. "It's going to be fun!" she told Morgan. But perhaps the nuptials started to look less thrilling. A few days before the ceremony was scheduled to begin at the Playboy Mansion - and right around the time Funny Or Die released a video about the occasion – Harris seems to have opted out. 'The Killing' gets a second seasonBreathe a sigh of relief, “The Killing” fans – whatever doesn’t get wrapped up in season one can be delved into next season, since the AMC show has officially gotten picked up again. The network announced on Monday that the crime drama has been a hit and that another 13 episodes are on the way. The production crew, says AMC's senior vice president of original programming, production and digital content Joel Stillerman in a statement, has shown the network "how much room there is to elevate the crime drama with this series." Stillerman went on that "The suspense of the investigation in each episode, and the emotional intensity of the characters over the season give this show a visceral quality that makes for incredibly powerful television. A lot of loyal fans made a huge investment in this show this season, and we are thrilled to be able to bring it back next season for all involved.” Kathy Griffin: Wait, did I sleep with JJ Abrams?Hollywood is all about hooking up. So don't blame comic Kathy Griffin if she can't remember whether or not she made sweet, sweet love with "Super 8" writer/director/producer JJ Abrams. Griffin revealed to Jimmy Kimmel during his late night talk show that not only did she teach the "Lost" creator improv when he was a student in the theater group "The Groundlings," but the pair also went out on a date. FULL POST Cabbage Patch Kids may return to TVDust off those adoption papers - Cabbage Patch Kids may be returning in the form of a new animated television series. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the rights were purchased from creator Xavier Roberts' company, Original Appalachian Artworks, by Galen Walker - the producer behind the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie. Roberts formed his company back in 1978 after hand-making a few of the dolls while he was an art student in the mid-1970s. He initially called them Little People, and they were a huge hit at craft fairs. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Will Tracy Morgan's apology put the scandal to rest? Some pretty surprising news out today surrounding Tracy Morgan’s anti-gay rant scandal. Morgan's now saying he will return to the Nashville comedy club where he went off on that rant to apologize. I don’t know that it will put an end to things, but Tracy is taking the right steps. Hopefully he will make it clear that his efforts are heartfelt, and perhaps some good can even come out of all of this. What about you? Do you think this move will put the scandal to rest?
