Alec Baldwin joins TwitterNew episodes of "30 Rock" won't air for months, but you can still get your Alec Baldwin fix. The actor has just joined Twitter! "My first tweet," Baldwin wrote on Friday. "Maybe I needed a glass of wine beforehand. I feel ... so shy." Since becoming a member of the social networking site, the actor has racked up more than 37,500 followers and has been tweeting up a storm. Besides giving his opinion on Gabrielle Giffords' alleged shooter Jared Loughner being deemed unfit to stand trial ("Let's see. Loaded the gun. Stalked the Congresswoman. Laying in wait"), he also shared his thoughts on music ("Rufus Wainwright singing in Watermill with his sister, Martha. Heavenly") and movies ("AMOUR FOU...YSL doc....outstanding"). Baldwin joked about a project he's attached to ("ROCK OF AGES? What's that?"), and revealed that he had gotten stranded while boating in Long Island over Memorial Day Weekend. "Boat died in Gardiner's Bay. Called SEATOW. S—. No, really. S—," he tweeted May 28, then added, "Back on land now. I kind of liked [being] stranded." Baldwin also wrote some words of wisdom he received about using the social networking site: "Friend told me today not to drink and tweet." Will he heed that advice? Stay tuned...

Finally...thank christ, i thought it would never happen...the Twit staff is almost complete

I realize some think it is illegal for me or anyone to say this, but Twitter is one of the most powerful forms of libel there is. So, if you believe it is illegal for me to say that, you're very wrong. But, I guarantee that what you are about to say on Twitter probably is illegal and libel. It's the greatest form of defamation on the market today. And if some had any sense they would start to sue. Twitter should be shut down.
Most of what i'm usually about to say anywhere is probably libel.

I also dislike Tracy Morgan. He was on SNL and the show is like a 30 Rock flophouse. So he's there for that. If he was just acting he'd be great, but he is actually playing HIMSELF! I don't know how Alec tolerates it, as the only real actor (and sweet Jane Krakowski, who's sooo nice) and it seems like they act around him. Ah well, it wouldn't quite be the show without him... The guy has been through a lot, just had a kidney transplant and Grizz too! Grizz is a wonderful person. Everyone on 30 Rock is awesome. They are all very accessible and kind to their fans. I fellow several on Twitter that chat with me and even Facebook a couple. They are nice, real people.

Maybe cause it's in the entertainment section since he is in the entertainment biz. If you want to read actual news, I suggest you stay in the world/local news section of CNN
