Gaga's 'Born This Way' available for 99 cents...againUpdate, 5/26: Did you miss out on the deep discount Amazon was offering on Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" on Monday? Well, since the rush to download the entire album for less than the price of an individual song on iTunes crashed Amazon's servers, the online retailer is again offering the deal today. It's not quite free .99, but it'll do. Lady Gaga’s much-hyped album “Born This Way” officially arrived today, and although the album is going for $11.99 on iTunes, you can also buy it for about a dollar on Amazon. According to Mashable, this isn't the first time Amazon has slashed prices, but it may be one of the Web retailer's more surprising sales: "Born This Way" can be purchased in its entirety along with its digital booklet for just 99 cents, a price that seems to be only for today. You do have to purchase it as an MP3 download to score the deal, one that's presumably part of a promotion for Amazon's Cloud Player. Along with the MP3 purchase, you get a free 20 GB of storage on the service and, as Amazon notes, about $12.87 in savings on Gaga's latest work.

I was listening to my IPOD on the toilet the other day and my bestie downloaded one of her songs. I think it rocks.
For all of you people saying terrible things about Lady Gaga, you all just really need to stop because she is one of the most talented people out there and if you look deep down into her music it is really about love. And all of these other crappy music artist are out there writting about drugs and hoe's she actually writes about things that matter in life.
Please note Gaga BTW album is on track to sell 750k or more this week alone. Haters please stop. She has proved herself once again. Fans have stood up and shown why talent this woman has. She has #4 songs in the Top 20 at the same time and this has never been accomplished since Elvis. She has nothing to prove.

Not gonna lie, I'm not a fan of her music at all... but I have a great deal of respect for her. She seems very honest and a real person and the human rights and anti-bullying work she does is an inspiration. While I dislike most of her music, I cannot dislike her as a person and I think she deserves her success. ^_^

Hey Deliah from McAllen, Tx.-Your right about the $1 thing. I live in El Paso, Tx. and I can go to any flea market and buy the entire CD for a couple $s. If I want it even cheaper I just hop the border to Juarez. They may be bootlegged but you really cant tell the difference. Yeah so 99¢ a song is high. Not really a Gaga fan myself but I do respect her integrity and ability to be/do whatever she feels.
The album again people is not 99 cents. Amazon is charging you the price of downloading Born This Way the single then later charging you full for the complete album once server issues are resolved. I agree GaGa has some talent I applaud her efforts to try and be the everywoman by trying to help charities, people, and keeping close contact with fans. Yet she does lip sync her shows as much as her monsters want to say she doesn't she does. Her HBO special showed that off. She's overworking herself. I fear she will have the monster breakdown of Britney sooner rather than later with her continuing pressure to perform at the drop of a hat and do so much. I loved The Fame and The Fame Monster, loved every second, but when it comes to what I feel is GaGa this album is not. This album sounds like crap. Every single is just not up to par with what I expect to hear from her. I've listened with unbiased ears and I can say that even as a huge fan of pop and dance tunes this album falls flat on its face. It's far from being the best album of the year, even tho people don't want to say it I think in the pop category Britney wins out even if she isn't putting effort into her performances as of now or promotion. Born This Way feels like a forced put out record that shouldn't even be in stores. I'm a sad monster that this album is as bad as it is. I do get one half-decent song and that's The Edge of Glory, the only track I have enjoyed from the album. The rest put it out to pasture. It will sell well with her fans but with trying to convert new fans over not happening.
The album is in fact $0.99 for those who purchased it today. Amazon released the statement "Amazon is experiencing high volume and downloads are delayed. If customers order today, they will get the full Lady Gaga, Born This Way album for $0.99. Thanks for your patience." The server issue you are referring to was the problem where the download servers became bogged down by so many people purchasing the album.
To all the haters out there.... You dont have to listen to or read about any of Gaga work. You shouldnt be neggative about anyone or anything that doesnt pertain to yourself. Ive come to the conclusion that most people who do not like Lady Gaga are full of BS and are close minded people. Altough this is America, some people really need to accept others and be at peace for what ever they do with their own lives. Liked her first 2 albums, this one i do not like at all......Judas is awful.....She can sing but she sure can go over the top sometimes.
Regardless if you like Lady Gaga, she is a genuine talent. Everyone has their own tastes. I respect people who respect Gaga but may not like her music or her for that matter. Don't judge as it only shows your true character.

Seriously. Gaga's fans are more irritating than she herself is because they feel the need to deflect ALL criticism of her. And viciously.
A Few comments:
1. Lady Gaga is female. Not a male, and not a hermaphrodite. That's actually become a comical part of her videos to poke fun at those internet started rumors.
2. She also does not lipsync. She sings a layered version of many of her songs live, so that they sound a lot like the layered recordings to the audience. She has background singers doing some parts, a recording doing others, and then she lays down her live vocals as well. She does not lipsync though, which is moving your mouth to fake like you are singing the song when it is really the recording. When she isn't actually singing a part, her mouth is closed and quiet, awaiting when she'll next belt it out. She sings a lot of acapella/just with piano during her concerts so people can obviously see that she is singing live.
3. I am pleasantly shocked and full of respect for such a young, yet articulate and wise young lady beyond her years. LISTEN to what she is talking about. Now that she has everyone's attention...hopefully she can be heard. -which was her desire with all the "outlandish" fashion moves. -everything she does is symbolic and poinant if you care to figure it out.

Yes, she can sing (although she uses autotune, which is for losers). The music she sings, though, with few exceptions, is bad music, made for the ignorant-of-music dweebs who buy rap and synthpop. I'd like to see her put out an album of standards (or at least real music), without autotune and with real musical instruments, so we can see how she really compares to good singers like Ella Fitzgerald, or Sarah Vaughn, or Dame Shirley Bassey - or Grace Slick, for that matter. Until then, I'll just say that she has a good voice but no taste or class.

She writes her own lyrics, plays piano, and sings on stage. Ella, Sarah, Shirley, and Grace did not play piano or write their own lyrics.
Lady GaGa deserves respect for that alone, however you feel about her music and stage act.

I'm not a Gaga fan. I got the album for free. I must say there are some good songs on the cd thanks to the music done by Fernando Garibay (Unicorn Highway and The Queen).

Not a big fan of dance music, gets tiring, but I love her new song "You and I" which is a Piano/Rock ballad. Even though I'm not a huge fan, I respect how Lady GaGa writes her own songs, actually sings LIVE and even can play the piano, which she did a lot before she was famous in coffee houses. And I have to respect her willing to collaborate with Amazon on this low price. Amazon is really trying to cut into Apple's market! I love Amazon. I might download it, even though I only want one song (You and I). She should do an album full of Piano/Rock songs.

Okay I love Madonna as well, but never saw Madonna sing like Gaga while playing a piano.... she doesn't need a band or anything, she's got herself. She's very talented. Besides, Madonna became her most popular when she was trying to act like Marilyn Monroe.

It's called GagaVille. I play FarmVille and I did the little quests to hear the album for my daughter who doesn't play FarmVille. I was surprised. I actually liked the album and plan to buy it. My daughter is almost disappointed because now she has to find other music to annoy me. lol

Autotuned? Like Britney Spears. Synthesized? Like Britney Spears? The one who can't sing live. Lady Gaga CAN sing damn well live WITH NO LIPSYNCING! Unlike the plastic pop crap that we call Britney. Lady Gaga has true talent, she writes each and every song with her heart and soul.
Actually, Gaga clearly lip synchs through the heavy dancing parts. Even her HBO special where she denied ever doing it, you can clearly see it happen in a few places. The other tell tale, is some of the manuevers would empty your lungs as you sing and you don't hear it happen. I'm not a hater about Gaga, but I'm a realist.
I liked "Fame Monster," but this album is TERRIBLE! I thought it was going to be great, but I was completely disappointed. "Judas" is such a horrible song and that whole "Judah...judah ahh ahh" thing is like nails on a chalkboard. Turns out, "Judas" is one of the better songs. I've listened to the entire album 2-3 times through, and it's over.
Even the friends who turned me on to Gaga and dragged me to her shows and to watch her on television are over her now. I have defended Gaga over and over, but this is one I was wrong about. She really is an overrated hack, she just had a bunch of us fooled.

That's not pretending to sing (lip-syncing)...she hasn't, doesn't and wouldn't pretend to sing. She has the pipes and control to never have to. IMHO Born This Way is the best album of the past 10 years (at least)...feel free to disagree, but you have no grounds to call her fake.
