Zach Galifianakis to January Jones: 'Get over yourself'"Mad Men" star January Jones has at least one fellow actor who isn't mad about her. Comic Zach Galifianakis claims he once told the blonde beauty—who has boasted that she was hated in high school because she is pretty—to get over herself. In a new Q&A with ShortList magazine, Galifianakis is told that Jones refers to him as one of the most naturally funny men she has ever met. "That's really funny because, if I remember correctly, she and I were very rude to each other. It was crazy," "The Hangover Part II" star replies. "I was at a party — I'd never met her — and she was like, 'Come sit down.' So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, 'I think it's time for you to leave now.'" Big mistake. Galifianakis continues, "So I say, 'January, you are an actress in a show and everybody's going to forget about you in a few years, so f--- be nice,' and I got up and left. And she thinks that's funny?" As for whether he'd do a love scene with Jones if they were cast in a movie together? "I wouldn't want to," he says. "I'd hate it."

He probably said something inappropriate at the party and when she told people she thought he was funny, she was probably being polite. Maybe Zach's just upset she didn't actually appreciate his sense of humor?

in her defense, well, i should say "if one were to defend her" (cuz i certainly don't care about her feelings) he might have tried to be funny and shocking at the table and it came off wrong and she said "ok you can go now". its easy to think people are rude out of nowhere, but more prodding and questioning will show that rudeness is triggered by something.
If anyone has watched Between the Ferns, you would understand that this is what Zach does. It is his "brand" of comedy. He does not hate January Jones. Google it, watch it, and then judge for yourself.

I went to high school with January. I was one year ahead of her. Although I didn't know her well, I don't remember her being unpopular or disliked by other girls. If she felt like she was disliked because of her beauty, I think that was mostly in her head. In that way, I guess she was like most teenagers who feel that everyone is spending a lot of time forming opinions of them.

I saw the first hang over movie, didn't think he really contributed much to it. I can think of at least a dozen other actors who are much superior, and after seeing his comedy shows, I can't imagine he'll be around much longer. As for people that need to get over themselves, he should take a long look in the mirror, if he can keep his stomache.
January needs to get over herself. I live in the city she is from in SD and she claimed that she was the talk of the town when she brought her Jewish boyfriend her. I read the newspaper everyday and watch the news and in all the years that she has been in Hollywood I don't remember there ever being anything about her being home for a visit even. She thinks everyone loves her but actually we are very disappointed in the way that she thinks so highly of herself and that she lied and dissed SD on the Daily Show – she has no pride about where she is from (which is fine and her choice) and only has this absurd thought that we are all jealous of her. Maybe people didn't like her because she just wasn't a very nice person.
