Ferrell, Wahlberg to star in football comedyAfter teaming up in the 2010 cop caper "The Other Guys," Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are getting ready to make more mischief. The duo will reunite for the upcoming comedy "Turkey Bowl." In the film, Ferrell and Wahlberg play men from different football-obsessed towns who lead their rival teams in an annual game of tackle football, according to Deadline. The ultimate prize? Bragging and trash-talking rights, of course! Alec Baldwin has reportedly been cast as Wahlberg's father, and Deadline reports that the football games will feature tons of celebrity cameos, similar to the rival TV-broadcaster gang fights in Ferrell's film "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy." Before tackling football, Ferrell starred in sports comedies set in the world of ice-skating ("Blades of Glory"), soccer ("Kicking & Screaming"), race-car driving ("Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby"), and basketball ("Semi-Pro"). |
