The battle for Greendale on 'Community'

Back in February, "Community" star Alison Brie told CNN she sees Abed as "such a platonic member of the group" when asked if her character, Annie, would ever end up with Danny Pudi's Abed.

"I think Abed knows the dangers of what happens when the group kind of gets all, you know, mixed up. He's seen that," Pudi chimed in. "But who knows, every episode we’re always surprised at what we’re doing."

Indeed. Thursday night's season finale of "Community" saw Annie and Abed locking lips, at the end of an intense battle, which saw Greendale Community College fighting against the villainous City College, with their stormtrooper-ish paintball squad.

George Michael apologizes for being a poor role model

George Michael is back in the limelight thanks to his upcoming tour and a new album, but the singer admits that most of the attention he's gotten in recent years hasn't necessarily been so positive.

As a result, Michael believes that his ongoing brushes with the law have been hurtful to his fans and the gay community.

"I have a serious problem with the fact that every time I made a mistake and every time I let myself down that I was letting young gay kids down," he told reporters in England, according to the Daily Mail. "'Because they would then witness the homophobia that was thrown [at] me and the language that we use in this country."

NBC passes on 'Wonder Woman' TV series

It looks like "Wonder Woman" won't be taking flight after all. NBC has decided not to pick up the highly anticipated series about the Amazing Amazon.

Sources tell Deadline that the David E. Kelley pilot—which starred "Friday Night Lights" actress Adrianne Palicki as a crime fighter, corporate executive and modern woman—wasn't a disaster and described it as "ambitious" and "well crafted."

So what exactly was the problem (besides Wonder Woman's much-criticized, revamped costume, of course)?

'Beastly' star joins Channing Tatum stripper movie

Apparently Brit bad boy Alex Pettyfer's recent interview in which he bashes Hollywood hasn't hurt his career. The "Beastly" star has just been cast as a young stripper in the upcoming movie "Magic Mike," according to Deadline.

As Marquee previously reported, the film, directed by Steven Soderbergh ("Ocean's Eleven," "Traffic") will star Channing Tatum, whose real-life experience as a 19-year-old exotic dancer at a Tampa club served as inspiration for the story.

In "Magic Mike," Tatum will play a veteran dancer who teaches a newcomer (Pettyfer) how to hustle both on and off the stage. The movie promises to be packed with pecs, partying and women.

"When Channing talked to me about this, I thought it was one of the best ideas I'd ever heard for a movie," Soderbergh has said. "It's sexy, funny and shocking. We're using 'Saturday Night Fever' as our model, so hopefully we're on the right track."

Mariah's music was the soundtrack for twins' birth

Even in the delivery room, Mariah Carey turned up the music.

Hubby Nick Cannon says that besides videotaping the April 30 delivery of twins Monroe and Moroccan , they also played some special music to help welcome their little boy and girl into the world.

"Now my wife wanted to make sure that when the babies came out, that they came out not only to a Mariah Carey song, but a live performance from Mariah Carey—her Madison Square performance of 'Fantasy'—so they came out to a round of applause," Cannon says on Friday's edition of the OWN network's "Gayle King Show."
