I must admit that I really enjoyed Lady Gaga as a mentor tonight.
Sound advice and she pulled some great performances out of the contestants.
Who really did it for you tonight? Are you sick of all of the James love and the Haley criticism? Are you over Scotty and Lauren? FULL POST
9:20 p.m. – Hello Mr. Stoller.
He thinks the contestants are doing a good job with his songbook.
James and Gaga team up for his "Love Potion No. 9" performance. She wants him to get into his body more and she actually grabs his hips to make him move a bit. FULL POST
Awww, look at J-Lo bidding Mantasia a warm farewell.
Now that Jacob Lusk is out of the competition, "American Idol" is evenly matched when it comes to the sexes.
We are now down to two females and two males, and all four have strong fan bases. And tonight, they get mentored by one of the biggest artists in the world.
If Kim Cattrall brings to mind a certain "Sex and the City" siren with her new I Can't Believe It's Not Butter campaign, it's not exactly a coincidence.
"It has a wink and a nod to a character I'm known for, but in a slightly different set of circumstances," the actress formerly known as Samantha Jones tells Marquee.
Working with both a stylist and a director from her hit HBO series, Cattrall shot the commercials—titled "Mussels," "French Toast," "Dish" and "Naughty & Nice"—over the course of four days in Argentina ("The people were lovely; the wine was amazing!" she says). Clad in a slinky yellow robe by luxe French label Lanvin, the star is sexier than ever—though she insists that looking this good doesn't necessarily come easy.
As the youngest and most vocal member of her family, Tamar Braxton is rarely at a loss for words on WE's "Braxton Family Values."
The backup singer was left speechless, however, during a recent Vulture interview in which she learned that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had named their twins Monroe and Moroccan, with the latter being a tribute to a room in their house.
"I mean, my mouth is dropped. Like, whaaat?" Braxton said after several moments of silence. "Maybe she named her daughter Monroe after Marilyn, because I know she loves her. And, oh my God, really, that's what she named them?"
A recent radio interview almost turned ugly when the host informed Oscar winner Hilary Swank that she isn't pretty.
Swank was chatting with Kim Masters of L.A.'s KCRW on Monday when the discussion turned to the lack of roles for older actresses in Hollywood.
“I'm still young enough that I haven't been feeling the brunt of that," Swank said. "Certainly, you hear about it … and you do see it, although you also see a lot more roles I think opening up for older women. I mean, Meryl Streep seems to be dominating."
