Chris Hemsworth isn't done protecting people just yet. The "Thor" actor is in talks to play Kristen Stewart's savior and mentor in the upcoming "Snow White and the Huntsman."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hemsworth is the latest actor being eyed to portray the Huntsman, who, in the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale, is sent by the Evil Queen to kill Snow White but ultimately ends up watching out for her. Michael Fassbender, Viggo Mortensen and Hugh Jackman were all previously in the running for the role.
Besides Stewart, Charlize Theron has already signed on as the Evil Queen, while "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" star Sam Claflin is expected to come on board as the handsome prince.
"Snow White and the Huntsman" is slated for a December 2012 release, with a separate, 3-D take on the tale starring Lily Collins as Snow White and Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen arriving in theaters in June 2012.
