Nathan Lane joins 'Snow White' movieThe Evil Queen better have a wicked sense of humor now that funnyman Nathan Lane has been cast as her sidekick in director Tarsem Singh's upcoming 3-D version of "Snow White." According to Deadline, Lane will play the Evil Queen's servant, Brighton, in the adventure comedy about the mean royal and an exiled princess struggling for control of their kingdom. British actor Robert Emms has also signed on as the prince's valet, Renbock. As Marquee previously reported, Julia Roberts will play the Evil Queen, Lily Collins has been cast as Snow White, and "The Social Network" star Armie Hammer will portray Prince Alcott. The still-untitled film is set to arrive in theaters on June 29, 2012, and director Singh promises a trippy take on the classic tale. "It's actually like if you looked at Gaudi's architecture, based in England, done [as] a turn-of-the-century Russian film by an Indian guy," he has said.

Hollywood, please stop. In recent years you have butchered Alice in Wonderland, Willy Wonka, Charlotte's Web and the Karate Kid. Can you please come up with a terrible based on an original idea? Well, at least Tim Burton isn't directing this crap.
