The Evil Queen better have a wicked sense of humor now that funnyman Nathan Lane has been cast as her sidekick in director Tarsem Singh's upcoming 3-D version of "Snow White."
According to Deadline, Lane will play the Evil Queen's servant, Brighton, in the adventure comedy about the mean royal and an exiled princess struggling for control of their kingdom. British actor Robert Emms has also signed on as the prince's valet, Renbock.
The still-untitled film is set to arrive in theaters on June 29, 2012, and director Singh promises a trippy take on the classic tale.
"It's actually like if you looked at Gaudi's architecture, based in England, done [as] a turn-of-the-century Russian film by an Indian guy," he has said.
