Did Jaden Smith earn $3 million for 'Karate Kid'?

So much for an allowance! Twelve-year-old Jaden Smith—son of Will and Jada—reportedly earned seven figures for his breakout role in the 2010 blockbuster "The Karate Kid."

Celebrity news site TMZ claims to have obtained Smith's 2009 contract for the action flick, which shows that he was paid $1 million up front to headline the movie.

As part of his deal, the pre-teen also received a $2 million bonus after the film became a blockbuster, taking in $176.6 million domestically and $359.1 million worldwide.

That brings Smith's tally to $3 million, although TMZ believes he made even more dough thanks to additional in-contract perks and the movie's international success.

Eggs thrown at The Biebs during concert

Justin Bieber may want to invest in some protective headgear for his next performance.

The 17-year-old superstar seems to draw a crowd with a penchant for throwing things at his concerts. Back in 2009, it was a water bottle, and this past weekend in Sydney, Australia, it was eggs.

Biebs was in the middle of performing when a reported six eggs were lobbed onto the stage. In the video below, a few of them can be seen falling onto the stage from above, creating a yolky mess right at his feet.

Although he supposedly threatened to cancel the concert, word is that Bieber didn’t let a few flying eggs interrupt his world takeover, and came back on after the stage was cleaned up.

[Editor’s Note: This post contains spoilers for the Sunday, May 1 episode of AMC’s “The Killing.”]

If you’re anything like me, you're beat from a late night of watching history-making breaking news (on CNN, of course). So let’s hit the highlights of last night’s episode, shall we?

Bennet Ahmed is still very much a suspect in Rosie’s death, only now he has a possible accomplice in his wife, Amber. Between witness accounts putting Rosie at the Ahmed home on the night of the dance and Amber’s sister telling Holder that Amber felt Bennet was keeping secrets from her, the detectives concluded that some combination of Bennet and Amber murdered Rosie and disposed of the body.

When confronted, Bennet claimed Rosie had in fact come to his house to return a book and confessed that he’d forgotten about the incident until just then. He refused to elaborate and told the detectives they’d need to come back with a warrant if they wanted to get their hands on the book she’d allegedly returned to him.
