She may have helped heat up "American Idol," but Jennifer Lopez's career is about to get a little colder. The singer/actress/entrepreneur has just signed on for a role in "Ice Age 4: Continental Drift."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lopez will play Shira, a sabre-toothed tiger who melts the heart of fellow sabre-tooth Diego (Dennis Leary).
Besides Lopez, Jeremy Renner has signed on as master of the high seas Gutt, and Wanda Sykes, Drake and Aziz Ansari will also lend their voices to the animated film.
"Ice Age" regulars Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Seann William Scott and Josh Peck are all expected to return for the latest installment, which arrives in theaters in July 2012.
Besides "Ice Age 4," the busy Lopez will also appear in the upcoming singing competition "Q'Viva! The Chosen," which, as Marquee previously reported, will see the star and husband Marc Anthony traveling throughout Latin America to discover fresh, new talent.
