The worm has turned on ‘Top Chef: Masters’If you saw any of the previews for this season of “Top Chef: Masters,” you knew this episode was coming. Hopefully you had enough time to prepare yourselves. Last night’s Quickfire challenge forced the chefs to think organic. They were required to work with raw materials, including some unusual proteins. You could say (and host Curtis Stone does) that they had the opportunity to go back to their roots. Have I stalled long enough for any weak-stomached readers out there to cover their eyes? Watch out for robots: It's 'Judgment Day'You might want to watch out for laser-wielding robots today. As fans of the "Terminator" film series and TV show can tell you, the U.S. military defense system portrayed in "Terminator" called "Skynet" - which was a trending topic for the past couple of days - became "self-aware" on Tuesday, April 19, 2011. That means that "Judgment Day," the start of a nuclear holocaust caused by the machines who then wage war on humanity, is upon us: it's scheduled for today's date, as seen on the short-lived TV series, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Lindsay Lohan officially on board for 'Gotti'Lindsay Lohan's next movie should be a real hit: The actress has officially been cast in the upcoming mob movie "Gotti: Three Generations." Lohan will play John Gotti Jr.'s wife Kim in the film, which tells the story of John Jr.'s relationship with his father, the late Gambino crime family boss John Gotti. John Travolta has been cast as John Sr. and Joe Pesci will portray his deputy Angelo Ruggiero in the biopic, which is due out in 2012. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lohan had originally auditioned for the role of the Dapper Don's daughter, Victoria Gotti, but that deal fell through and she continued to lobby for a part in the project. Seinfeld cancels on Trump after Obama commentsDonald Trump's "birther" comments are no joke for Jerry Seinfeld. The 56-year-old comedian has canceled his appearance at a benefit for Donald Trump’s Eric Trump Foundation because the real estate mogul has been questioning whether President Obama was born in America. Seinfeld was expected to attend the September 13 event benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, but his rep tells CNN that Seinfeld has indeed pulled out of the engagement because of the remarks Trump has been making about the President. Charlie Sheen brings 'violent torpedo' tour to D.C.Charlie Sheen brought his tiger blood to our nation's capitol on Tuesday, hosting his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" show at DAR Constitution Hall. This registered national historic landmark has hosted everyone from Aerosmith to the Austrian Vienna Boys Choir – and now has provided a stage for America's favorite (?) warlock. Sheen did recognize the venue in his own way, saying, "This place has some [expletive] history. I've got some [expletive] history, too," before asking the crowd, "Mind if I smoke?" |
