Chris Colfer pens pilot for Disney ChannelGolden Globe winner Chris Colfer is a man of many talents. Besides acting and singing on "Glee," he's just written a new TV pilot for the Disney Channel. Deadline reports that Colfer has penned the script for "The Little Leftover Witch," which is based on Florence Laughlin's children's book about Felina, a witch who is taken in by the Doon family after her broomstick gets busted. This isn't Colfer's first writing gig, however. As Marquee previously reported, the actor also wrote and will star in the upcoming indie "Struck by Lightning," a coming-of-age comedy expected to be in the spirit of such John Hughes classics as "Pretty in Pink," "The Breakfast Club" and "Sixteen Candles." The movie, which will mark Colfer's big-screen debut, is expected to begin shooting this summer. |
