With their powerhouse vocals, quirky personalities and commanding stage presence, it's no surprise that Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry have been compared to Gwen Stefani. But the No Doubt singer believes she has little in common with the trio.
"I don’t see myself in those girls. I usually put pants on," she tells the May issue of Elle magazine. "I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there’s going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing.”
That's not to say Stefani doesn't pay attention to her appearance. FULL POST
Her parody of Sarah Palin may have been a huge hit on "Saturday Night Live," but Tina Fey believes it actually has hurt the ratings for her NBC series "30 Rock," reports USA Today.
"Some may argue that exploiting Governor Palin and her family helped bring attention to my low-rated TV show," Fey says of "30 Rock" in her just-released book of essays, "Bossypants." "I am proud to say you are wrong."
Fey says the truth is, "My TV show still enjoys very low ratings. In fact, I think the Palin stuff may have hurt the TV show. Let's face it, between Alec Baldwin and me there is a certain 50 percent of the population who think we are pinko Commie monsters."
Following reports that plans for a school Madonna's charity was helping build in Malawi have been scrapped, the singer would like to make it clear that neither she, nor her charity, are currently under investigation.
"In recent days a number of wild and totally false rumors about Madonna's philanthropy - spread by bloggers and tabloids - have begun appearing on the internet," Madonna's spokesperson said in a statement to CNN. "As we have said previously, Raising Malawi is currently undergoing a series of positive changes in an effort to serve more children."
It was reported recently that a plan to build a $15 million school for approximately 400 girls in Malawi had been halted by The Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, a Malawi based charity.
Does Angelina Jolie have another baby on the way? Her latest tattoo seems to suggest that might be the case.
On a recent U.N. goodwill mission to the Tunisia-Libya border, the star was seen sporting fresh ink on her arm, a new map of coordinates just below the already tattooed coordinates of where each of her six children were born, reports People.
It is believed that the latest numbers relate to the region Jolie is currently visiting.
Though the skin art has led to speculation that the Oscar winner and her partner Brad Pitt are getting ready to welcome another child into their brood, an insider insists to People that the couple currently have no new plans to adopt.

It’ll be a family affair on M. Night Shyamalan’s next flick: The filmmaker’s feature will star both Will Smith and his son Jaden, according to the L.A. Times.
The sci-fi movie will be set 1,000 years in the future, where an estranged father and son find themselves on a deserted planet Earth after their spaceship crashes. Acting out a parent-child dynamic will be old hat for the Smiths, and not simply because that's their real relationship. (Will and Jaden previously co-starred in 2006's "Pursuit of Happyness.")
Jada Pinkett Smith (Will’s wife and Jaden’s mom), will serve as the producer. (Surely it's just a matter of time before we hear that “21st Century Girl” Willow Smith will voice the soundtrack.)
