In the upcoming drama "Water for Elephants," Robert Pattinson stars as a man whose life changes after he takes a job as a circus veterinarian and falls for the head trainer's wife, played by Reese Witherspoon. Much like their characters, both actors have found their lives undergoing major transformations recently.
Witherspoon exchanged vows with showbiz agent Jim Toth on March 26, and told CNN over the weekend that she's loving married life the second time around. "I'm only about five days in, but so far, it's great," she said.
The actress added that she enjoyed celebrating her big day surrounded by her children, friends, and family, but is now looking forward to going on her honeymoon—though she's remaining mum about the destination.
Lindsay Lohan playing the victim? Celebrity photographer Tyler Shields is hoping to make it happen.
Shields has confirmed to CNN that he’s directing a film about Charles Manson called “Eyes of a Dreamer,” in which he’ll star as the murderer himself.
According to Shields, he’s currently “in talks” with Lohan to play the role of Sharon Tate. Although no deal has been made, Shields added that he thinks Lohan is the right actress for the job, telling CNN that "she would be great" in the role.
Ever since Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence landed the part of Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ “The Hunger Games,” one question has been on everyone’s minds: Who would play Peeta Mellark?
Well now we know: Lionsgate has confirmed that Josh Hutcherson has been tapped for the role, Deadline reports. It's a crucial one: Peeta is Katniss' fellow competitor/love interest as the 16-year-old girl is forced to compete in a brutal government-sponsored, televised battle.
The “Kids Are All Right” star was reportedly going against Alex Pettyfer (“I Am Number Four”), Hunter Parrish (“Weeds”) and Liam Hemsworth for the job.
While doing the rumba on last night’s “Dancing With the Stars,” Kirstie Alley and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy took a nasty tumble, but the pair didn’t let it slow them down.
As they grooved to the song “Over the Rainbow,” Chmerkovskiy seemed to lose his leg support while holding on to his partner. As he fell, the “Stars” dancer brought Alley down with him.
They both quickly recovered though, and still managed to impress the judges, earning 21 out of 30 points.
Patrick Dempsey wants to prove he's more than Dr. McDreamy by playing Doctor Strange.
The actor, who stars as hunky brain surgeon Derek Shepherd on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," tells the L.A. Times he's dying to play Marvel's magical neurosurgeon in either a TV series or movie.
“I've been lobbying for that,” he says of portraying the super sorcerer. “There's a whole bunch of people [among the 'Grey's' crew] who are into comics and Marvel, too, on the set and they're like, ‘Doctor Strange, that's the one you should do.' It would be fantastic. It'd be a great TV show, especially for HBO or something like that."
