Bethenny Frankel sells 'Skinnygirl' brand

Thanks to "Skinnygirl" margaritas, Bethenny Frankel's wallet is now a little bit fatter.

The reality star/author/chef  has sold her "Skinnygirl" spirits brand to Fortune Brand's Beam Global Spirits & Wine unit for an undisclosed amount, her rep confirmed to CNN.

The 100 calories-per-serving, ready-to-drink margaritas were developed by Frankel, a natural foods chef who got her start in television as runner-up on "Martha Stewart's Apprentice" and later appeared as an original cast member of  "The Real Housewives of New York City."

Finally, production begins on 'The Hobbit'

More than seven years after the Oscar winning "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" hit theaters, the two-part prequel, "The Hobbit," is finally in production in Wellington, New Zealand.

Warner Bros. Pictures released two photos of director Peter Jackson on the set. He is returning to the world of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth after directing the "Rings" trilogy.

The films' original director was going to be Guillermo Del Toro ("Pan's Labyrinth"), and although he dropped out last year, he's still credited along with Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens on the screenplays.

LeAnn Rimes has united front with fiancé's ex-wife

After defending her suddenly slimmer figure, LeAnn Rimes is now fighting back against rumors that she created a second Twitter account to bash fiancé Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife Brandi Glanville.

"As a collective unit, Brandi and I would like all negativity to cease toward one another," Rimes tweeted on March 20. "We have communicated and have a direct understanding that we are ONLY ourselves on Twitter and have no other accounts that try to destroy one another. Please for our families' sake stop the hate now and let us live OUR lives. We don't need opinions or outside help in order for that to happen. Thanks, LeAnn and Brandi. "

Cibrian and Glanville have two sons together, and were still married when he allegedly began having an affair with Rimes on the set of their 2008 Lifetime movie "Northern Lights." At the time, Rimes was wed to Dean Sheremet.

Though she was accused of being a homewrecker at the time, Rimes — who got engaged last December  — has since said, "That's just not me… What happened is not who I am, period."

"Did you see 'Glee' this week? Sickening!" writes Jackson, who appeared on "SNL" from 1986-1992. The episode also featured Kathy Griffin as a religious "Sarah Palin type" and Loretta Devine as a stripper turned nun.

Cher to record country album

When Cher made a surprise appearance at the 2010 Country Music Awards, the audience was a bit confused. “My being present here tonight is probably not as strange as it may seem,” Cher said. “I have a few country creds.”

It’s making more sense now – music producer Mark Bright has confirmed Cher will be recording a country album in the near future. Bright is known for his work with stars Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and Reba McEntire.

“Cher knows that her listeners also listen to country music, so she felt it was a natural thing to develop a country music relationship,” Bright told Silk and Denim Music.

A bittersweet end to 'Big Love'

[Spoiler warning: Do not read if you haven't seen the final episode of "Big Love."]

Okay, I was definitely not prepared for that.

"Big Love" came to an end after five seasons on Sunday, and just when you thought most of the loose ends were being tied up in a nice little bow, there was one more shocker left.

It was a smart move for the producers to wrap up the Albert Grant story arc last week, allowing the focus to be on the Henricksons for the entirety of the last episode.

'Tupac' movie holding online auditions

If you think you've got what it takes to portray slain rapper Tupac Shakur in a movie, now's your chance.

As Marquee previously reported, a biopic about Shakur, who was shot to death in 1996, is currently in the works and is slated to begin shooting this spring. Now producers are holding an online open casting call to find an actor to portray the music icon, reports the L.A. Times.

To audition, aspiring actors must visit InSearchOfTupac.skeetv.com and upload a five-minute video of themselves reciting the provided monologue from one of Shakur's courtroom appearances and performing a 60-second rap of one of Shakur's songs. Auditions began on March 18 and end April 30.
