Mel Gibson has been at the center of a firestorm for months now, recently pleading "no contest" to a misdemeanor battery charge, but he does have a shoulder to lean on thanks to his “Beaver” co-star Jodie Foster.
The actress and director defended an embattled Gibson at "The Beaver’s” SXSW premiere, telling CNN, "I feel incredibly grateful to have Mel Gibson's performance in this film. I wouldn't have changed anything... All sorts of stuff happened, but I don't regret anything."
The movie centers on Walter Black (Gibson), "a successful toy executive and family man who now suffers from depression" and turns to a beaver puppet to help him communicate and get his life back on track.
Well isn't this awkward? Just as Joe Jonas is gushing about his romance with Ashley Greene in the new issue of Details, their reps have announced that the couple have split.
In the magazine's April issue, which just hit the newsstands, Jonas says his relationship with "Twilight" star Greene "feels good," adding that it works because "she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule. She'll fly out to my shows—she's been to places in South America that I can't even pronounce."
Things had gotten so serious that Jonas even met her parents. "Her dad can drink me to shame," Jonas tells Details. "He's awesome."
Get ready for some more R-rated humor from the "American Pie" gang. Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy have reportedly all signed on for the latest film in the racy franchise, "American Reunion."
According to the Wrap, original cast members Alyson Hannigan, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein and Mena Suvari are all in talks to return, as is Stifler's mom, Jennifer Coolidge.
Scott, who played obnoxious Steve Stifler, recently checked into treatment, his rep told CNN.
Don't expect the newest "Bachelor" couple, Brad Womack and Emily Maynard, to appear on TV anytime soon. Womack says he and Maynard will be spending time out of the spotlight in order to work on their relationship.
The former "Bachelor" says in a statement, "At long last, Emily and I can be open to the world and each other about our relationship. Though we are madly in love, it has been a bumpy couple of months for us and our priority right now is to focus on our relationship. We hope that you can respect our privacy as we return to normalcy and begin our off-screen lives together."
Speculation about the couple's relationship grew during Monday's "After the Final Rose" special, where both admitted to briefly breaking up between their proposal and the "Final Rose" taping. Maynard said during the special that she was jealous watching Womack romance other women on TV, and both admitted to having volatile fights both on the phone and face-to-face.
Christina Aguilera has had her share of negative press lately, being criticized for her movie "Burlesque," making headlines with the breakup of her marriage, and getting arrested with her new boyfriend, who was suspected of driving under the influence.
Now, she's starting a positive chapter in her life as a mentor on the upcoming singing competition "The Voice." Aguilera will help guide emerging talent, and tells CNN she wishes she had someone doing the same for her in the early stages of her career.
"I was so green to the business," she says. "I was so thrilled and excited to get my first record deal that I allowed myself to sort of be molded or get labeled some things that sort of take hold and [made] me out to be what they wanted [me] to be… I think that you can only shine your best when you are able to be yourself. And that's what I want these people to be able to do."
Jason Patric has always been a fiercely private actor — that is, until now.
In a new interview, the star reveals all about his '90s love triangle with Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland, his dislike of former co-star Ashley Judd, and his iconic grandfather Jackie Gleason.
Patric is currently starring in Broadway's "That Championship Season" with Sutherland, his co-star in 1987's "The Lost Boys." The two became pals while making the classic film, but just four years later, Patric flew off to Ireland with runaway bride Roberts after she called off her wedding to Sutherland.
