Fact: TV Land is doubling the nostalgic fun at the network’s upcoming awards ceremony by not only featuring a reunion of the “Welcome Back, Kotter” cast, but also bringing the “Facts of Life” members together again.
Lisa Whelchel (Blair), Kim Fields (Tootie), Mindy Cohn (Natalie), Nancy McKeon (Jo) and of course Mrs. Garrett, as played by Charlotte Rae, will reunite for the first time in 20 years at the 2011 TV Land awards, Entertainment Weekly reports. "The Facts of Life" stars will be on hand to accept the Pop Culture Award.
If you're wondering where George Clooney will be, EW notes that his name wasn't included in the round-up. But perhaps he'll be added in before the show airs on April 17, like they've added to the list of those joining the "Kotter" reunion.
According to EW, it turns out Mr. Kotter, aka the show's co-creator Gabe Kaplan, will indeed join the Sweathogs as they accept the 35th Anniversary Award. John Travolta (Vinnie Barbarino), Ron Palillo (Arnold Horshack), Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Freddie 'Boom Boom' Washington) and Marcia Strassman (Julie Kotter), are already signed up for the ceremony.
Robert Hegyes, who portrayed Juan Epstein, has been added to the reunion as well.
There is actually a dance song about Blair's cousin Geri!! Check it out: http://bit.ly/fb9EiJ
Joe was such the "Man of the House" with all her tools. I recall the episode where she drilled a hole in Ms Garrets bathroom and would watch her taking a dump.
I will only watch if they include Cousin Geri.
all of u guys r dirtbags who r making these comments but they should bring back small wonder
@joe- that was Mackenzie Astin on "when they ran the bakery". Leo DeCaprio was on "Growing Pains" near the end. And for the record I don't recall Brad Pitt on TFOL either, unless it was one random guest appearance.
They should have the reunion start show start with Blair, Jo and that other fat girl walking in on Ms Garrett and Tootie in bed making out.
Let's not forget Jerri Jewel. I saw her recently in The Night of the White Pants.
I can't believe how disrespectful and rude some so-called adults are especially about a reunion for a TV show. Before you call someone washed up, fat and ugly, stop looking in your magic mirror and face reality.
I looked in my magic mirror an saw only your big fat rump. Is your nickname Hoggett? I bet it is. Come join us at Jenny Craig ya fat leg humper.
Don't remember Brad Pitt on facts of life but Leonardo Dicaprio was on when they ran the Bakery
I,Would love to see the reunion.
Blair was hot. TV Land has better shows than todays tv. You could watch these shows as a kid or a adult. These days I cant think of one tv show that is appropriate for a youngster.
Good for them! Loved the show!
If there's going to be a "reunion", then Molly Ringwald should be a part of it because she was on the first season of "The Facts Of Life", remember?
I think they're focusing the reunion on the long-term characters.
Anyone remember the program by the name "Soap"? If so, did people enjoy it as much as I did? Since watching it way back when, I have found that I have encountered many crazy, funny and bizarre situations portrayed in the show while visiting some families i encountered throughout my lifetime. During these times I would chuckle to myself and think I would think "gee this is like being part of the program Soap"? Lol!! Anyone ever experience this?
i wish the shows Knight Rider, Chips, and Alf were back on. just like tv shows off the air, there are some toys i'd like to see come back
I used to love watching The Facts of Life. It was a good show and it was on when people were still sane.
I welcome these's shows back. Those were good times. Get it.
Loved all of these shows & yes indeed they taught life lessons that have remained with me to this day!Blair & Jo taught us how to accept people for who they are!!!!!!
Well, if they include George Clooney they have to include Brad Pitt too! Facts of Life helped both of there careers! You mix the good...The Facts of Life! They are honoring The Cosby Show that night as well!
Oh this is the site i was looking for! hello out there is tv land!!!! how r u all doing tonight? im getting drunk and im going to find me a bear to fight with tee hee
@ Augy: We can tell that the kids from the show Different Strokes really learned all those lessons your talking about. F***ING IDIOT!
Always called it the "Fats of life"
lol, stones a'flyin', watch out for glass! *you're not*
@Cherub, I totally remember 'Just the Ten of Us'. I loved that show!
D and his homies would circle jerk Mindy, I mean Natalie.
mrs garrett is dead aint she?
Funny tv lots of memories
Who cares? Ha Ha!
Lol...the TV land awards are great. To the idiots that think that they are making a reunion special for either...get your facts straight.
Oh and btw the "housekeeper" from Different Strokes is Mrs. Garrett. Facts of Life was a direct spinoff of Different Strokes.
I loved this show. Me and my homies would never miss it.
Love that they are reconvening after all of these years. It will be a fun filled show with flashbacks that will surely have me reminiscing.
If they are gonna bring back any show it better be Alf damnit!!!
Is this award show televised?
Those shows sucked.
The Different Strokes Reunion would be Willis, Mr. Drummond (is he still alive?) and the housekeeper...maybe the red head kid that came on the show later...oh and Arnold's friend Dudley.
I'm not a grammar nazi but Lelee & Mary L need to learn how to type or learn the English language. Just sayin'...
You are right, your not the grammar police. It's spelled saying, were you too lazy to type the g?
Were you too lazy not to type the ' and the e? It is "you're".
Nice job trying to look high and mighty only to reveal your own stupidity!
I wanna see the "different strokes" reunion..
That was hilarious! It would only be Mrs. garret!
I loved the facts of life nd welcome back kotter can't wait to see the show. Include George what harm can do.
20yr and 35yr reunion. It really doesn't seem that long ago that I was watching these shows. Oh boy, I'm old. Lol
Me either! ;)
It's been 20 years since they been all together but that show has been over more than 20 years ago.
Just a bunch of washed up actors whose 15 min. of fame was over years ago. The shows sucked back the and theres nothing they can do today to make them any better. For reals now. Dont the network execs have anything better to spend their money on?
@Boring. You just don't get it, so go soak your head. Those old Shows often taught lessons about Friendship, Morality, learning, growing and Cosequences. You know, the things most missing today?? Look at today's TV, Daaaaaaa !
Perhaps the reunion episode could take place at the zoo with all the fat tubs of lard wallowing around in the hippo lake. There they would fit right in.
If they include George, he'll just talk about how he is saving the world.
Tootie had big tooties but now she only has a big booty!
I am very happy for them. I think they should do do a come.
"the girls deserve it alone" as if they originally won the Nobel.
No George, his part wasn't for as long as the girls.
They don't need him to bob his head and get the glory.
The girls deserve it alone.
They are all just a group of fat ole women...has beens with big fat guts. Talentless idiots.
Remember "Just the ten of us" ? Lol
Up your nose with a rubber hose
I remember a reunion show, I don't think it was that long ago
I wanna see Tooties big ole Tooties....
Will JoeLez be at the reunion? I bet she will try to make LezJoe love to all their fat rumps.
I love this show. I didn't care much for the first season, but I liked all of the others until Mrs. Garrett left. Then it kinda went downhill.
