If you believe Gwyneth Paltrow's pal Mario Batali, the actress deserves an Academy Award for her performance at this years CMAs. The celebrity chef says he doesn't believe the polished Paltrow was at all intimidated to sing in front of the powerhouse country crowd.

Prior to making her live-singing debut at the November 10 event, Paltrow admitted in a radio interview, "If I don't faint, if I can just get through it, it'll be OK. Most people start in a bar, then a bigger bar, then maybe a theater. You're not supposed to just start at the CMAs. It's a little scary."

But Batali, who appeared with Paltrow on the 2008 PBS food-and-travel series "Spain… On the Road Again," isn't buying it.

We're pretty sure there was once a time when Fridays were full of awesome and fun for young Rebecca Black, judging from that not-quite-melodic ode to the weekday that's gone viral.

In the "official video" for "Friday," Black sings (with a healthy, healthy assist from auto-tune) about the joys of Friday, when she can decide if she wants to ride in the front seat or the back, and there's nothing but "fun, fun, fun, fun."

“American Idol” won’t have to go far this season to find acts to perform.

Fancast.com reports that executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told xfinityTV.com that Aerosmith and Jennifer Lopez will both perform at some point during Season 10.

And fans won’t have to wait for the show’s season finale to see it happen, he said. “It will probably be before that, actually,” Lythgoe said.

Aerosmith’s lead singer, Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez are both new judges on this season’s “Idol.”

Sarah Palin is speaking out about the news that Oscar-nominated Julianne Moore has been cast to play her in the upcoming HBO film “Game Change.”

She told Fox News, “Well, I am all about job creation and I guess I could provide some of these gals who pretend like they're me some job security…”

Palin surely doesn’t sound thrilled about the idea that anyone is going to play her on film, but I will say, Julianne Moore has always been one of my favorite actresses (in addition to being a really nice person). I think she’ll be terrific! But what do you think?

Break out the pink booties — Victoria Beckham is having a girl!

The former Spice Girl's soccer star husband, David Beckham, broke the good news at an L.A. Galaxy luncheon on Friday, according to the Daily Mail.

"Obviously, we're very lucky to be expecting again, and this is the first time I'm going to say it: It's a little girl," David said. The couple already has three sons: Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

After keeping a relatively low public profile, golf pro Tiger Woods is getting back into the game with his first talk show appearance since his marriage fell apart amidst claims he had multiple mistresses.

On March 16, Woods will be a guest on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," and the two will even play a round of miniature golf, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "We're going to do it," Fallon confirmed at the PaleyFest festival on Friday.

The men previously hit the links together when they played a round of Wii's "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10" in 2009 and Fallon beat Woods at his own game.

Sarah Palin wasn't thrilled to find out that Kathy Griffin will play a "Sarah Palin-type" character on "Glee," and now she's bracing herself for Julianne Moore portraying her in the upcoming HBO film "Game Change."

“I think I'll just grit my teeth and bear whatever comes...with that movie,” the former governor of Alaska and vice-presidential candidate told Fox News' Sean Hannity on Thursday. Palin joked that she's happy to provide so many actresses with work but wishes they would share their good fortune.

"I'm all about job creation. And I guess I could provide some of these gals who pretend like they are me some job security," she said. "I would ask, though, if they're of the mind of spreading the wealth around, that perhaps they want to spring for one of my kids' sets of braces or something as they capitalize on pretending to be me."

Take note Jake Gyllenhaal fans: This actor isn't cool with powder room photography.

The story coming out of SXSW is that there was a “heated scuffle in the theater bathroom” when a fan tried to snap Gyllenhaal’s photo at an “inelegant time,” Entertainment Weekly reports.

EW asked the actor, whose film “Source Code” premiered at SXSW and opens on April 1, and he laughed and confirmed that it was true.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan are already locked in for "The Great Gatsby," but there's one more actor dying to be a part of director Baz Luhrmann's upcoming 3-D spectacle: Bradley Cooper.

In a new interview with the New York Times, Cooper lobbies for the role of Tom Buchanan, the cocky blueblood husband of Gatsby's (DiCaprio) love interest, Daisy (Mulligan).

"To me, he's the best character in the book. He's so complicated," says the star of "The Hangover – Part II." "He's xenophobic, he's an alcoholic, but he also understands some profound stuff about class. Whoever plays it has to take a gentle hand, because it could so easily be stock, where he’s a rich jerk you don't identify with at all."

The hunt for a leading lady to star in "The Hunger Games" may soon be over: According to Deadline, "Winter's Bone" star Jennifer Lawrence is the favorite for the big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' teen-fiction trilogy.

As fans of the best-selling novels know, the gory "Hunger Games" books center on Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year-old girl who lives in a post-apocalyptic world in which she is chosen to compete in a government-sponsored reality show that requires her to kill her peers.

Much like "Twilight's" Bella Swan, Katniss also finds herself in a love triangle and is torn between nice-guy fellow contestant Peeta and heartthrob hunter Gale.
