Who's leaving the Top 13 on 'Idol?'SPOILER ALERT – Tonight's "Idol" blog will reveal who is leaving the competition, so please don't read if you don't want to know. 8:59 p.m. - It's always so sad to see those who are safe surround the person who is out. Lots of tears and hugs. Awwww. 8:57 p.m. - Ashthon sings the Diana Ross song again, breaking down into tears after she sings. The camera pans to those who are safe and you can tell by their faces that it's just not good enough. Ashthon knows it's over and we know it's over. Jennifer breaks the bad news: "Not this time baby." Cue the goodbye song, David Cook's version of "(Don't You) Forget About Me." 8:55 p.m. – We have our first contestant who is safe and that person is: Karen! She returns to the couch and it's down to Haley and Ashthon. And the person singing for the save is ... Ashton. Haley is safe! 8:50 p.m. - Diddy has some words of wisdom for the contestants to "keep God first in your life and don't stop, don't ever stop." Can't stop. Won't stop. 8:45 p.m. – Diddy-Dirty Money performs "Coming Home," a song that features Skylar Grey. Is it rude to say I wouldn't have been mad if only Skylar Grey and Dirty Money performed? I like their flow and the jam didn't need Diddy at all. Sorry Mr. Combs. 8:35 p.m. - Our next three victims, err, contestants are brought down front. Lauren, Ashthon and Haley are in the spotlight. Ryan asks Lauren about her performance, which didn't exactly thrill the judges. She agrees, apologizes and tears up. This is exactly why I worried about having the youngsters this season. Lots of stress, which can be crushing to a teen. The tension is made worse by Seacrest saying Lauren is going to have to deal with ... the stress for another week because she is safe. So who between Ashthon and Haley is in the bottom three? Both! Everyone else is safe! 8:25 p.m. - How the Lambs have missed you Adam Lambert. He's back to sing an unplugged version of his song "Aftermath" and he looks super poised and relaxed. I love to see how polished the "Idol" alums are after some time off of the show. The audience is feeling him and he hits one of his signature notes. *Cue girls screaming* Seacrest manages to drop the factoid that Adam gave him the remix/dance club version of the song to premiere on his radio show. Proceeds from that version are going to charity. Somehow we get from there to Jennifer Lopez doing The Dougie. Wow, just wow. 8:20 p.m. - Here we go with the first three folks in the spotlight. Jacob, Stefano and Karen are called down to join Seacrest. Everyone gets to hear a replay of the judges' comments, the good and the bad. And Seacrest pulls an okey doke by saying "You are all safe this evening....except for Karen." That was kind of whack, Ryan. 8:15 p.m. – Another season, another batch of stars with something to promote. Tonight we have Amanda Seyfried in the house with her new film, "Red Riding Hood." The "Idol" contestants are totally starstruck on the red carpet. So cute! 8:07 p.m. - That "Idol" mansion is some kind of hot! Love that house. How do you go back to your regular life after living high on the "Idol" hog? Sweet. Cute little Michael Jackson medley. It appears they are singing live this year instead of totally to a recorded track – at least on some parts. And what is going on with Ashton's faux-hawk pony? It seems like every season some contestant rocks that. 8:05 p.m. - Oh no! Casey is sick again and back in the hospital. Get well soon Casey! 8:03 p.m. - I had totally forgotten that Diddy-Dirty Money were performing tonight along with Adam Lambert. Diddy and DM were on the end of last season, too. They love them some "Idol!" 8 p.m. – Welcome back cats and kittens. "Idol" just started and I am reminded of Steven Tyler's Paula-like quotes with the replay of his "plethora of passion" comment. Can't wait to see who ends up in the bottom three, because I honestly can't call it.

Hey! AI is great. Its my favorite reality show. I think James has it all wrapped up this season. There is alot of great talent, and aome that will definately get better with a little help. There are some, that even though they dont win, they will get a recording contracts anyways. Like Scott. Or Pia for example. Kudos to the panel of judges! Finally some music experts that know what their talking about. And know what their looking for. Only bad thing Ive got to say is... Naima has to go. And fast. Shes bad.

Wow, is all I have to say, how can people mix racism with music auditions and american idol is about finding talent. Which I'm a fan of Scott and Pia and Casey. The rest of you are good just need to strive harder and never give up on your dreams. And as for the rest of you folks get a higher education on RESPECT.

Loved the Michael Jackson group tribute. His legendary mega talents and stage charisma will be hard to duplicate in my lifetime. He's a once per generation icon in the same vein as a Sinatra or Elvis. I am casting my vote for Naima. There is something quite unique about her that just fascinates me. Loved how she danced it up blending in funk, hip hop and reggae.
I love casey and pia! and haley has a pretty interesting sound. not a big fan of stefano. his last performance wasnt that good
Im glad Ashton is gone. She was too full of herself, thinking she was the s**t. Definately no Diana Ross. Naima should be the next to go. And what was she thinking doing that ridiculous dance while supposesdly singing? Next please.....I think itll come down to Pia vs Jacob vs James. One of those 3 will definately win. Yes, this season is the best. Ive watched all seasons before. The new ludges make all the difference. They finally picked some real talent for a change. Keep up the good wk guys.

Karen needed to go she clearly is no idol. Plus ,she's nothing to look at how she made it in with all these talented people is a surprise.
I don't think it's much of a surprize... it's because of J-Lo. She can't sing very well.
And yeah..that group number. TOTALLY PRE-RECORDED. What's sad is that some of the contestants still didn't sound that great during it. You'll notice that they gave certain contestants bigger parts in the group number. This is one of the best seasons for talent, though, I must say. The difference between the first season and this one is HUGE...though, Kelly Clarkston is still amazing. That's why she beat everyone.
There are some people that weren't in the bottom 3 that should have been there...heck...they should have been kicked out when the wild cards were chosen. Stefano should have been in the top ten to begin with. Naima...she just doesn't belong there. I bet this contest will be between Stefano and Pia in the end. They are the most solid performers by far. Vocally and visually.

Aston was one of my early favorites, but I guess this is not her season. Sorry lady, you could be better next season. Good luck.
