'SYTYCD' auditions hit the road againIt was a beautiful Monday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia, so what better day to hold auditions for the eighth season of Fox's hit summer reality show, "So You Think You Can Dance"? Out of the hundreds who showed up the prior Saturday, Abigail Ruz, a dancer for 14 years and a viewer of the show since the first season, was one who got the chance to see the judges that day. "It really is nerve-wracking," she told CNN, after waiting for several hours to perform, "but you've got all of these nerves bundled up and you've just gotta dance them out." ![]() On the left, Jennifer Aniston attends an event in Germany on Feb. 21. On the right, she attends a Feb. 22 event in Madrid. Jennifer Aniston shows off new 'doIt's not even summer yet, but the stars are already showing up with cropped tops. Following in the footsteps of the Bieb, Jennifer Aniston has been spotted with a new, shorter hairdo. Appearing Tuesday at an event in Madrid to promote her film "Just Go With It," Aniston sported a shoulder-length, honey blonde mane. This from a star who is as well known for her various coifs as she is her roles. What do you think of the new cut? Hot or not? Bad seeds on 'Pretty Little Liars'Of course Rosewood's high school would produce a play about an unsuspecting child killer. (Seriously, Fitz? You couldn’t have gone with a classic like “Our Town,” or perhaps a nice, upbeat musical like “Hairspray"?) Nonetheless, Jenna's pleased with Fitz’s decision to go with “The Bad Seed,” saying she’s “fascinated by the nature of evil.” Spencer walks downstairs the next morning to find Ian taping up boxes in the living room. He tells her Alison was nothing more than a psycho stalker who “wouldn’t take no for an answer.” But Spencer’s not buying it. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Bieber's haircut - good move or bad? That screaming you hear? That's the sound of girls around the world who are in collective shock today as photos surface of Justin Bieber’s new shorter hair! You know Justin Bieber is idolized for his sweet voice, boyish good looks and that infamous ‘do. So now that he’s gone and changed it up, will this actually hurt his popularity? Or even damage his career? I think it’s a big deal for sure – but maybe his fans would embrace this new look in the same way they anticipate one of Bieber’s new singles. What do you think? Post your thoughts below. We’re debating this today on the show. Justin Bieber debuts 'mature' haircutJustin Bieber fans probably couldn't Belieb their eyes when the teen idol trimmed his signature mop top yesterday. "Thinking about getting a haircut....hmmmmmm," Bieber tweeted shortly before getting snipped. The 16-year-old, who was filming a music video with the band Rascal Flatts when he transformed his tresses, told TMZ he decided to switch up his 'do because he wanted a "more mature look." "I just wanted kind of a change," he said. "I didn't want to cut it all off. I've had it for 3 ½ years. I just got sick of it. It was in my eyes and I just wanted it out of my face." Moving on and moving out on ‘Chuck’There were a lot of moving parts on last night’s episode of “Chuck,” with significant decisions facing several members of the team. Luckily, they all came together in a way that seems to be moving the story forward. First, though, we have to get over a little timing problem. The episode started with wacky Valentine’s Day hijinks. We learned that Chuck is a self-proclaimed love machine (and has the t-shirt to prove it); that Sarah makes a very sexy cupid (complete with wings); and that Morgan and Alex have found unique ways to connect, including spreading chocolate on each other’s faces. Girl's rendition of 'Born This Way' makes Gaga cryHave you heard Maria Aragon sing yet? If you haven't, you should check out the 10-year-old's rendition of Lady Gaga's new single "Born This Way." It's so good, in fact, that it made Gaga tear up with emotion. She tweeted: "Can't stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future." But the story doesn't end there. Maria got the chance to chat with the pop star when Gaga called in to Toronto's Virgin Radio 99.9. Brad tours America on 'The Bachelor'Last night's episode of "The Bachelor" was the traditional "hometown date" show, where Brad headed to the hometowns of the four remaining contestants to meet their families and learn more about them. Hopefully Brad brought his frequent flyer card to the festivities. Our first stop was Seattle, where Brad caught up with Chantal, who said her parents are "great judges of character," so it was crucial for them to give her the go-ahead to be with Brad. Are they also great judges of her slap-happy antics on the show? Brad and Chantal headed to her parents' home, which appeared to double as stately Wayne Manor on "Batman." I half-expected their basement to also serve as the Batcave. Brad told the potential in-laws about Chantal slapping him on national TV, and the family seemed to enjoy that anecdote, which was quite disturbing. Mackenzie Phillips: My family has abandoned meAfter detailing her 10-year sexual relationship with her father in the 2009 tell-all "High on Arrival," Mackenzie Phillips says she has been abandoned by her famous family. Mackenzie, whose dad was rock legend John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas, told the "Today" show's Meredith Vieira that she has encountered a dramatic backlash since telling her story, including being cut off by her former step-mom Michelle Phillips and her step-sisters, singer Chynna and actress Bijou. "They've all known about it for years, so the family members that come forward and say this isn't true and she's crazy are a textbook case of the way a family reacts to incest within the family," Mackenzie said on "Today" Tuesday morning. "It's been really hard. It's been really hard to not have my sisters and my brothers and my 'wicked ex-stepmother,' with whom I've been really close over the years. But to have them basically just say, 'That's it! We're done with you…'" Kanye and Hype Williams turn on 'All of the Lights'It's not the first time Kanye West has linked up with Hype Williams, but it might be the duo's most confusing collaboration. Over the weekend, West released the video for “All of the Lights,” the fourth single off his critical and commercial darling, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.” Unlike their past projects (“Diamonds From Sierra Leone,” “Gold Digger”) West and Williams’ “All of the Lights” hit MTV without much hype. Blame it on the fact that it was NBA All-Star Weekend or that West reportedly got an invite to the Royal Wedding over President Obama – whatever the cause, the video quietly slipped into rotation. |
