'Three Stooges' to star Johnny Knoxville, Andy Samberg... and Cher?

The search for the perfect Stooges continues.

The Farrelly Brothers plan to shoot their big-screen adaptation of the "Three Stooges" shorts this spring, but have yet to cast the trio. Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro and Jim Carrey were set to star as Larry, Moe and Curly, respectively. But it looks like both Penn and Carrey dropped out, while Del Toro remains a question mark.

According to the L.A. Times, the Farrellys are now eyeing Johnny Knoxville as a possible Moe with "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg filling in for frizzy-haired Larry.

It was a birthday lunch that sent the Internet into a frenzy.

On Valentine's Day, the members of famed female super group Destiny's Child all sat down together to celebrate one of their own, Rap-Up reports.

Kelly Rowland recently turned 30, and she was joined in L.A. by Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams, along with Beyonce's sister Solange and a cousin.

James Van Der Beek to play James Van Der Beek

We’re all quite familiar with James Van Der Beek’s sensitive side (will the crying gif ever get old?), but this time around, he’s going to try to make you laugh.

According to Deadline.com, the 33-year-old actor has been cast in what could be his first regular comedy, a pilot for ABC called “Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23.” (No, seriously – that’s what it’s called.)

The plot line focuses on June, played by “The Good Wife’s” Dreama Walker, an “earnest, honest, optimistic girl from the heartland” who has to move in with party girl Chloe in New York City. The sexy yet unstable character, played by Krysten Ritter (“Confessions of a Shopaholic") will also have “the morals of a pirate.”

Madeleine Albright channels Bon Jovi

How did former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright spend Valentine’s Day? Behaving like a rock star, that’s how.

Albright was at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday night, attending Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti’s concert. When Botti invited her to sit in as drummer during the band’s performance of “Nessun Dorma," she jumped at the chance.

“I’m sure this is one thing she has not accomplished in her career,” Botti said as Albright, 73, took the stage.

Detroit raises funds for RoboCop statue

RoboCop could be making his way back to Detroit now that residents have raised more than $56,000 to erect a statue honoring the crime-fighting machine.

Last week, Mayor Dave Bing received a tweet from one of his followers, saying, "Philadelphia has a statue of Rocky & Robocop would kick Rocky's butt. He's a GREAT ambassador for Detroit." But Bing shot down his request, saying, "There are not any plans to erect a statue to Robocop. Thank you for the suggestion."

Shortly afterward, however, a campaign was launched to raise funds for the statue — and has brought in more than $56,000 as of press time, surpassing the goal of $50,000, according to the Detroit News.

Matt Dillon and Shelley Long shine on 'Modern Family'

The best episode of "Modern Family" thus far was probably "Fizbo," so you knew that Cam's "needy clown" alter-ego would make another appearance.

On Wednesday night's "Modern Family," Mitchell banned him from appearing at Lily's birthday party, since he would take away the attention from Lily.

Mitchell even implied that Cam was a bad parent: "Well, if the shoe fits..."

'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Will Lindsay or Charlie turn things around first?

Lindsay was reportedly all set to do David Letterman’s “The Late Show.” Then, oops, she wasn’t! Did her dad have something to do with this?

Plus, Charlie Sheen’s now giving Lindsay advice! Seriously? Charlie… giving Lindsay… advice?!

Here’s what I’d like to know: Who will turn things around first? Lindsay or Charlie? I really think it’s a tough call. Every time either of them takes a step in the right direction we cheer for them, hoping they’re on the right path. And then some new drama unfolds and we lose our faith that they’ll ever turn things around.

Google gets into the 'Spy' game

Before celebrity snark ran rampant on the Internet, there was Spy magazine.

The mag came to an end in 1998, but in an effort to help you relive those memories - or introduce you to the mag if you missed it the first time around - Google has cultivated a digital collection of back issues.

Created in 1986 by authors and editors Kurt Andersen and Graydon Carter along with publisher Tom Phillips, the magazine was far from afraid to cast a humorously critical eye on some of the big personalities of the time. As Carter has explained to CNN, the "rough idea" was "for a magazine that would be about New York, that would be based on journalism, would be funny and look reasonably good." FULL POST

‘Top Chef’ gives us the next Iron Chef

Last week, I laid out my complaints about this All-Stars season of “Top Chef”: The contestants aren’t being challenged enough. It doesn’t feel like we’re getting enough personality. The stakes don’t seem very high.

Problems solved. All of them.

With a hilarious Quickfire and a truly difficult Elimination Challenge, this might have been my favorite episode of the season.
