According to Lil' Kim, she's set a record with her new album. The rapper says that her new album, "Black Friday: The Mixtape," is the top-selling item in the history of PayPal.
"Thanks to you guys!! #lilkimblackfridaymixtape sold 113,000 copies in 28 hours which made me the #1 seller on paypal ever =) !!! THANK U!" she tweeted today of the $9.99 album, which was released on Valentine's Day, with the first 100,000 purchasers getting autographed copies.
PayPal representative Charlotte Hill, however, can't confirm or deny those claims.
Lil' Kim — whose 2005 album "The Naked Truth" took a week to sell 109,000 copies — is likely to create even more controversy with "Black Friday's" blood-splattered cover art, which shows the black-leather-clad star holding a sword and surrounded by a beheaded pink wig and a frilly dress, which are believed to symbolize her rival Nicki Minaj.
"I'm not playing with this b—- for 2011," Lil' Kim said of Minaj in a New Year's Eve broadcast. "I'm saying, we can rock together but b—- you ain't taking nothing from me!"
