Kate Middleton and Ellen DeGeneres are cousins

Ellen DeGeneres better start practicing her wedding dance. The talk show host has just discovered that she's related to Kate Middleton, reports E! Online, and now she is determined to attend the British bride-to-be's upcoming nuptials.

On Thursday's show, DeGeneres said she received a letter from the New England Genealogical Society, which, she joked, "I thought was from my lady doctor," and it revealed that she and Middleton are 15th cousins.

"Hold onto your crumpets, everybody — this is really exciting," DeGeneres told her audience before reading the letter aloud.

Weeklies cheat sheet: Where's the love?

Call us gullible romantics who buy into manufactured holidays if you must, but we don't mind reading a few silly celebrity love stories every now and again.

But this Valentine's Day weekend? No dice.

Instead, you'll be cuddling up with the supposed break-up of not only Bella and Edward Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, but also newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand. Then there's the havoc a reality show has brought upon "Teen Moms." To top it off, Brad Womack - who is supposed to be a reformed "Bachelor" intent on finding the love of his life - is actually weaving a web of lies...or so Us Weekly says.

Apparently the only place to get that old loving feeling is with OK!'s baby news - even rom-com queen Jennifer Aniston wasn't able to deliver a headline-worthy story about her love life. (But rest assured: She's happy. Really! Just look at that happy, bright white cover!)

Until next week...

Heidi Montag's quite confused

Did Jennifer Aniston really have Heidi Montag banned from the New York premiere of "Just Go With It"? According to Montag, yes… and no.

The reality star, who has a cameo in the comedy, initially complained to Us Weekly that Aniston refused to let her walk the red carpet at the film's February 8 premiere.

"I'm so upset," she said in the magazine's current issue. "I was so excited! This is the first movie I've ever been in and I can't walk the red carpet because Jennifer Aniston decided I was 'too polarizing.'"

An indecent proposal on 'The Big Bang Theory'

Greetings, BBT fans! Our favorite geeks were back on Thursday night, and at lunch, they were asked to attend a fundraising event ("Tater tots and a party invitation. What a great day!" raved Raj), but first things first, just how do vampires shave after all?

"Well-groomed vampires meet in pairs and shave each other, case closed!" Thanks for that explanation, Sheldon.

We also got some clarity on the difference between the movies "28 Days Later" and "28 Days," which Howard hated. Raj came to Sandy's defense: "Don't bag on Sandra Bullock! You think it makes you look cultured, but you just come off bitter."

'Jersey Shore' learns the meaning of 'done'

This week’s episode of “Jersey Shore" - appropriately titled “cabs are here” - was disappointing to say the least.

Even if you hadn’t seen promos, you probably weren’t blindsided by Sammi’s dramatic exit. Unless, of course, you’re Ron. After emotionally abusing Sam, breaking her glasses and kicking her mangled belongings out onto the balcony, he was still somehow flabbergasted by her decision to leave.

As if merely living under the same roof as your ex wouldn't be reason enough to get the hell out…

What's the verdict on Gaga's 'Born This Way'?

We know you've heard it by now - Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" has arrived. It's the first single off her new album of the same name - one that she's promised will be "the greatest album of the decade" and is expected to arrive in May.

While the message of self-acceptance and individuality rings crystal clear on the up-tempo, disco-driven track, something else is ringing in the ears of quite a few listeners: its similarity to Madonna's 1989 smash, "Express Yourself."

A number of listeners are questioning if, in fact, "Born This Way" is really just a rip-off of the Madonna hit. The Chicago Tribune notes that "it sounds so much like the 1989 Madonna classic that it will only fuel the convictions of those who feel that Gaga is just a 21st Century knockoff of the Material Girl, herself a canny appropriator of past genre- and gender-bending artists."

8th grader lands interview with Eminem

Eminem, 2010’s best-selling artist and a nominee for 10 Grammy Awards this weekend, has given his first interview in four months – to an eighth-grader.

Fourteen-year-old Annie Reed, a reporter for the Cavalier Corner newspaper at East Hills Middle School in Troy, Michigan, scored the phone interview last week, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Annie told the Free Press that her school newspaper instructor liked her idea of doing a piece on the Detroit rapper, but he wanted more than a biography. He encouraged her to try for the interview.
