Julia Roberts can now add "evil queen" to her resume, as the 43-year-old actress has landed a part in Relativity’s upcoming “Snow White” remake.
“The Brothers Grimm: Snow White,” which puts a “new, edgy and modernized spin on the original classic fairy tale,” according to a Relativity release, is due out in 2012.
“Julia was our first and only choice to play the Queen,” producer Ryan Kavanaugh said, according to Entertainment Weekly. “She is an icon, and we know that she will make this role her own in a way that no one else could.”
But Roberts isn’t the only evil queen in Hollywood at the moment.
“The Brothers Grimm” is one of two “Snow White” productions in the works. “Snow White and the Huntsman,” which could feature Charlize Theron as the villainous royal, is also due out in 2012.
