Jon Gosselin gets a job?Jon Gosselin may not be on the best terms with ex-wife Kate, but he's friendly when it comes to the environment. According to a report in Life & Style magazine, the 33-year-old former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star has put his spotlight-seeking days behind him and taken a real job at Global Green Property Services in Pennsylvania, which aims to make properties more environmentally correct. "He's doing sales marketing, which means he goes out to companies or cold-calls them and tries to get them to use Global Green," an insider tells the magazine. "It's a modest job — he doesn't get a huge salary."
The once ubiquitous Gosselin is reportedly enjoying his new life away from the public eye. “Jon doesn’t long for fame at all,” the source says. "He's much more content blending in and being able to live his life without the world watching.” And yet, according to Rumor Fix, Gosselin has already handed in his resignation. "It involved too much travel for him," says a source. "[Jon] needed to be near his eight kids, that's why it didn't work out."

I don't like either individual,but I know if I had 8 kids to support, a "real " job would be hard to find to support them. In Kate's defence, even with a nursing background, what kind of job can she find out there that would support them sufficiently and pay daycare for 8 kids while she's working???? At last the man has come back down to earth and is doing what he should have been doing all along.... working! He never should have quit his IT job to begin with.... having a job that was "his" defined who he was. He never should have tried to change who he was. She does have a real job.... taking care of 8 kids. If she had a job outside the home, she'd spend every spare minute when she wasn't working.... getting everything ready for when she is working. She's have to have before and after school care.... would miss the kids activities.... would not be able to get them to activities... believe me I know... I'm a working mother with 3 kids. Obviously you have no idea what it takes to raise and run around a family especially one this large.

Good for Jon. I always felt sorry for him. He never wanted eight kids, but went through with it to please that harpy wife of his. He probably wishes he'd never met her. Just an ordinary guy who got seriously stuck. I say good luck to him!

As for an answer to the question – not many really care about him. It is interesting to note however, he did try to find work even though it didn't wok out for him. That's more than a lot of people have done in this down economy.

@Eric – It is not BS. I work in IT and over 50% of the IT personnel in my company were either laid off or outsourced. My brother is also in IT. He was let go when his job was outsourced and has been out of work for over a year.
I'm a network engineer and I noticed IT postions requiring alot of experience and certs and only willing to pay up to $50k. What has happend to the big money world of IT?

If she got a real job.... like being a nurse for example.... she'd rarely see her 8 kids (she'd have to work holidays) and the time when she wasn't working would be spent trying to get everything in order... wash... meals... etc. for when she is working!!! You haven't a clue what it takes to take care of a family.... especially one this size. yeah.... having a job outside the house when you have 8 kids means you miss every activity they do! what's more... you'd have to have before and after school care for them and they would have no outside activities.... yeah that sounds great.

I don't even know why the show is still on the air. Whose watching it? I would have been all for her staying on TV as a way to make money to support her kids, but she is becoming Hollywood. Taking the kids on trips in high heels, dressed like a celebrity and she’s always on her cell phone! During Jon & Kate plus eight she never dressed like that, she never acted so "self-important" before, it was always about the kids. Let's just say I'm no longer a fan.

@dannon: uh .. from john gossellin's eyes, it appears he easily could be at least part east asian, ergo it would be fair – if a bit rudely-phrased – to say that he appears mongoloid. however, as i work with down syndrome people every day, i can tell you that he absolutely does not resemble a down patient (mongs or mongoloids being the non-PC term for down syndrome people a couple of decades ago).
