Christian Bale explains long hair: I'm unemployedA Bruce Wayne with a beard and bouncy hair? That's what Batman fans might have been wondering when Christian Bale appeared at the January 16 Golden Globes ceremony. But 36-year-old Bale says his slightly unkempt style isn't for his upcoming role in "The Dark Knight Rises" — it's just because he's lazy.
"This is unemployment, this is all this is," he told "Access Hollywood." "I haven’t worked since 'The Fighter,' and it's nice to just not bother cutting your hair. When you're [not] in a job that everything always has to be, you know, worked out for a character, I just sort of let it all hang out, but it's unemployment, that's all it is." Still, it won't be long before the chameleon-like Golden Globe winner gets groomed again. "In a couple of weeks I’m starting a movie in China with Zhang Yimou, a wonderful, fantastic Chinese director," he said. "I'll be doing ‘13 Women [of Nanjing]' before I start on 'The Dark Knight Rises.'"

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is wonderful blog. A great read. I will definitely be back.
Christian bale has great hair, longer is much more flattering than the militaristic buzz cuts. But the lighter red facial hair – trademark sign of British Isles – is gross, and should go. He's got a somewhat strange mouth, and its much more interesting and effective to see, when he is acting at least.
Please, Christian, get the mole removed.

With all due respect to Mr. Bale, I am sure there are people unemployed far longer then them who would love a sliver of his pay for doing the movie. Seems like a very indulgent statement.
I didn't get that from his comment, it just sounded to me as if he wanted to take a break from having to keep in character. Nothing different than when I don't shave when I'm on vacation for a week. And at least the hair looked clean and styled and the beard nicely trimmed, umkempt beards and hair look awful.
And don't even get me started on Annette Bening's bed hair, LOL...

So glad that Christian Bale finally got a role that is bringing recognition to his terrific (as well his chamelon) acting.

First, learn how to talk/type. Half of what you said didn't make sense. I looked up Johnny on the night of the Globes. He looks just fine. He looks like he always does. The man is a chameleon! I'd love to hear how a movie that cost $25 million to make and has grossed almost $60 million is a flop. I didn't major in math, but I'd make that investment any day of the week.
Look so much better if he would get rid of that damn mole on his nose, right on the side by his eye. It's sooooo distracting and unattractive:/ Especially when they do close ups on him during a movie.
The hair does look kinda cool, he oughta pull and tie it back, sumurai style, it could really work for him.
