Anderson Cooper is about to make his Broadway debut.
The "Anderson Cooper 360" host has joined the 50th anniversary revival of the musical "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" as the pre-recorded voice of the narrator, reports Playbill.
News legend Walter Cronkite provided the voice for the 1995 revival, which starred Matthew Broderick. "Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe headlines the Cooper production, which begins performances at New York's Al Hirschfeld Theatre on February 26.
Meanwhile, Melissa Etheridge is set to rock the Green Day musical "American Idiot" at Broadway's St. James Theatre. The singer will join the cast for one week as St. Jimmy, a ghostly apparition who helps fuel lead character Johnny's drug addiction. Etheridge will step into the role from February 1 – 6, while Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong takes a vacation from the show.
“Billie Joe and I always believed that it would be incredible to have a woman take on the role of St. Jimmy," the show's director, Michael Mayer, said in a statement. "This character is seductive, thrilling and dangerous. Melissa Etheridge is all that and so much more. She's a rock icon and we couldn't be more thrilled that she's bringing her immense talent to 'American Idiot.'"
