Bringing back "The Game" paid off big time for BET.
The debut of original episodes on the network Tuesday night scored an astronomical 7.7 million according to the Nielsen Company, making it the No. 1 ad-supported sitcom telecast in cable TV history, BET said.
The figures also make it the No. 1 telecast ever of "The Game" on broadcast and cable.

Fans of the '80s movie "Heathers" were ecstatic over the 2009 announcement that a sequel to the movie about the original high school mean girls was in the works. But the flick's follow-up may have been killed, and star Shannen Doherty couldn't be happier.
"I'm weird about sequels to movies like 'Heathers,'" 39-year-old Doherty — who appeared alongside Winona Ryder and Christian Slater in the dark comedy — told CNN. "'Heathers' was a cult classic, and I think it should stay that and not be revamped or redone another way. It was amazing and amazing for that time period, and it can stay there. I'm very proud of that movie. It makes me nervous to see it messed with again.”
Ryder, however, is disappointed that the sequel talks have stalled.
On Wednesday night's first live episode of "Live to Dance," Paula Abdul told the oh-so-adorable couple Bev and Hap that they made her think that "talent is overrated."
Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing those two shake their moneymakers (in a Paula-mentored/choreographed routine, no less), but, you see, it's a talent show. So at the end of the day, as Paula's fellow judges pointed out, they don't deserve to be in the final six.
There were a few other cute acts (Chi-Town's Finest Breakers, for example), but that's pretty much as far as it goes. The real stand-outs were the approximately 572-member dance crew The Vibe, the sensational Jittin' Genius, and the tween couple Amanda and D'Angelo.
Get ready to see a new side of "Big Bang Theory" star Johnny Galecki - the actor is joining the cast of "Entourage" next season.
Deadline.com reports that 35-year-old Galecki will have a recurring role on the hit HBO series, playing a "tougher" version of himself.
With the top-rated "Big Bang Theory" and a starring role in a big movie to his credit, the fictional Galecki will sign on with Eric (Kevin Connolly) and Scott Lavin (Scott Caan) at the Murray Berenson talent agency.
Cue the bloodcurdling screams: Justin Bieber is heading back to "CSI."
The teen idol, who appeared on the September 23 season premiere of the popular CBS crime series, is set to reprise his role as bad boy Jason McCann.
In his first appearance on the show, Bieber's character participated in an anti-government rally, and was later jailed for his involvement in a bombing.
