Valerie Bertinelli and Shania Twain both kicked off the new year with a fresh start – each of the stars got married over the weekend.
Bertinelli's rep confirms to CNN that the "Hot in Cleveland" actress tied the knot with boyfriend of seven years Tom Vitale at her Malibu home on Saturday night. The couple, who met in 2004 and got engaged in Italy last March, said "I do" before 100 guests including 19-year-old Wolfie, Bertinelli's son from her marriage to rocker Eddie Van Halen. "We're so happy!" the 50-year-old former "One Day at a Time" star told People.
Meanwhile, country superstar Twain exchanged vows with Frédéric Thiébauld at a private mansion in Rincon, Puerto Rico, on Saturday as well, the singer's rep confirms to CNN. The 40 guests at the intimate ceremony enjoyed a private fireworks show. Twain, 45, and Thiébauld, 40 – who announced their engagement in December - began dating in 2008 following her split from husband of 14 years Robert "Mutt" Lange. Lange, incidentally, began dating Thiébauld's then-wife Marie-Anne.
