High school pain for 'Glee' star Heather Morris

Unlike her "Glee" character Brittany S. Pierce, Heather Morris' own high school experience wasn't exactly something to sing about.

"Honestly, I didn’t enjoy it. My dad passed away before my freshman year, and it altered how I thought," the 23-year-old star, who plays McKinley High's lovably ditzy cheerleader, tells February's Teen Vogue. "I was depressed - I didn’t hang out with my friends. I worked through it by dancing."

That would eventually lead to a pre-"Glee" gig as a backup dancer on Beyoncé's Single Ladies tour. "We had twelve-hour days of nonstop dancing," says Morris. "It was so cool to go around the world."

We will resist the urge to make a joke about Ginuwine's name having the word "wine" in it. The singer, who found fame in the late 1990s with hits like "Pony" and "So Anxious,"  is reportedly currently working on new music.

An ABBA reunion? Mamma mia!

An ABBA reunion? Mamma mia - it's a definite possibility!

In a recent interview with the British magazine M, lead singer Agnetha Faltskog says she wouldn't rule out reconnecting with Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Bjorn Ulvaeus, and Benny Andersson for one more gig.

While Faltskog, 60, wouldn't want the '70s Swedish pop group to go on tour "like the Rolling Stones and other old bands do now," she says, "I could see us doing something together in the future," like a charity event.

Kylie and Kendall: Growing up Kardashian

What you see is what you get on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." So claim the show's youngest stars, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who tell February's Teen Vogue it ain't called reality TV for nothing.

"That’s literally us," says Kendall, 15. "We wake up in the morning, and the cameras are there. We go to sleep at night, and they’re still right there. It’s reality. We don’t have scripts."

Since the show's 2007 premiere, the girls have each launched modeling careers and, like older sisters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian, they have found themselves the subject of gossip in the tabloids and blogosphere.

Something else fell out of the sky on New Year's...

Worried about thousands of birds dropping dead from the sky or fish popping up floating in Arkansas?

Come on, we can do better than that when it comes to signs of the Apocalypse.

We are currently checking to see if Nostradamus made any mention of tiny reality star's emerging from a giant, clear plastic ball to ring in 2011 in any of his doomsday predictions, but we wouldn't be surprised.

Oprah's OWN debuts to mostly positive reviews

After much hype, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network launched on January 1 to mostly positive reviews, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"OWN is a place where cynicism takes a holiday and mockery hasn’t yet been invented," the New York Times's Alessandra Stanley said of the reality-program-packed channel. "There is no Chelsea Handler baring her big, sharp teeth on OWN; there is no Kathy Griffin or Joan Rivers standing up to take a crack at other people’s appearances or ages. There isn’t even an Oprah Winfrey standing in the studio audience, raising a quizzical eyebrow at a guest’s self-deceptions. Ms. Winfrey has created a ridicule-free zone where people like Tatum O’Neal and her father, Ryan O’Neal, and Naomi Judd and her daughter Wynonna can explore their personal growth in public."

IndieWire.com's Caryn James said that the network – which boasts lineup that includes the "Cristina Ferrare's Big Bowl of Love" cooking show, the "Master Class" celebrity profile series, and the investigative "Miracle Detectives" - "displays a whiff of spirituality, a huge amount of lifestyle fluff, and a surprising layer of substance." Gwyneth Paltrow's unlikely inspiration

"Country Strong" star Gwyneth Paltrow didn't look to Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift as inspiration for her role as guitar-strumming singer Kelly Canter. Instead, she sought advice from an unlikely source: Robert Downey Jr.

In the film, Paltrow plays a country singer who attempts to stage a comeback after being treated in rehab for drugs and alcohol. "I just couldn't understand how you could be so drunk that you could wreck people's lives and then wake up the next day and pretend everything was fine," the 38-year-old Oscar winner says. "I struggled with that."

So, she turned to "Iron Man" costar Downey, who has worked his way back onto the top of Hollywood's A-list after conquering his own demons. "I asked Robert, 'How does this work?'" Paltrow says. "He was really articulate about addiction and the psychology behind it. He really helped me a lot." FULL POST
