'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Is Lindsay a victim?Who would’ve thought, after so much work on herself and her image, that Lindsay Lohan could be so easily catapulted right back into the center of outrage and controversy! It’s Lindsay’s word against the word of a former staffer at the Betty Ford Center, who claims Lindsay assaulted her! But Lindsay says SHE was the one who was attacked – and the staffer was so abusive, she made her cry! Lohan is now under investigation, and here's the big question we’re asking today: Is Lindsay the victim here? No matter who is right or wrong, I think it’s despicable that a Betty Ford employee – who has since been fired – would talk about a patient. It is unacceptable and Lindsay didn’t deserve it. I would be so embarrassed if I were her. The drug use, obvious eating disorder.......has she looked in a mirror lately??? She looks like her mothers twin but has her fathers f***ed up mind!
The employee had no right to go public. The staff made an appropriate decision in letting her go. I cannot understand how the clinic let Lindsay leave the premises. Their responsibility is to help their patients in their recovery process.

Why was the lady fired? Is Lindsay allowed to get away with hitting someone and not being charged cause she's a patient? That's ridiculous, she should be put back in jail so then she can't break curfew and refuse a drug/alcohol test when asked by the lady just trying to do her job.
I've worked for 20 years in inpatient rehabilitation centers and I cannot imagine why Lindsay Lohan was even allowed out at night – never heard of such a thing. And if she came back AFTER curfew, she should have been discharged. All patients who have been off the facility property are alcohol and drug tested on return unless they have been in the constant company of a staff member. As both a psychologist and an addictions specialist I can only say that Lindsay's behavior, as reported, is typical of someone who has something to hide. She created a very effective diversion and placed the "blame" on someone else. Also, where your life may be in danger, no confidentiality laws apply.

Hey....I'd like to slap the beeeyotch myself and I bet there's a long line of people who'd be right behind me.
LL is a selfish, self-abosrbed spoiled brat (thanks to Orange Mom Dina and Nutcase Dad) and I don't believe for a minute that she is interested in getting better. She's biding her time till she is free...that;s all she cares about...not being in jail and able to continue hanging out in bars/clubs all night. She's a loser and have no sympathy for her. SHe had all the advantages that 99% of children have had and she's wasted them.
I actually do feel bad for her. None of us were there. The thing that is incredibly clear is that no matter who is the guilty party, Lindsay is immediatly villified. Which is NOT fair to her. I don't care if she was running around The Betty naked. If you are in the health care profession, especially one that requires such privacy...that sort of behaviour is completely deplorable. I feel bad for her because this is one story that no matter who is at fault, no one should know about.
Regardless of if you like Lindsay, don’t like her, could care less what happens to her or follow her every move, the fact is that there are HIPPA laws in place to protect patients in any of these and any medical facilities.
It doesn’t matter if Lindsay picked a fight, or the employee did, if Lindsay cried or the employee was hurt, the fact is that HIPPA protects the patient and anything that happens in the facility needs to be dealt by the facility and their rules of conducts by their employees under the HIPPA violation.
It is obvious that this employee, for what ever reason decided to violate this law by coming out in public about this incident. Any employee of any medical or rehabilitation facility that is governed by this law to protect their patients, would have been fired had they done the same thing regardless of if the patient is a celebrity, high profile, or someone that simply works at a fast food restaurant.
Betty Ford Clinic and this employee are at fault.
Lindsey should go through boot camp. Maybe then there wouldn't be any more drugs or booze.

OMG this girl is sooooo irrelevant. Why are we talking/caring about her? And why does everyone boo-hoo about her addiction problems? She doesn't care. And if she doesn't care, she can spend the rest of her life at Betty Ford or Promises or anywhere else and she"ll never change. Look at Robert Downey Jr. Rehab, incarceration, none of it made any difference until he decided to change. Now he's freakin' Ironman. Maybe if "LiLo" can get her act together she'll be a star, too. Right now, she's just a punchline.

Who's calling who a retard?!? Learn how to spell (loose-means ill fitting or not tight) first before name calling. And what does the size of a person have to do with anything? Also, I don't believe anyone "chooses" to become a drug addict. They may choose to use drugs the first few times but I don't think any alcoholic or drug addict sets out to become addicted. Don't be so judgmental & show some compassion, especially during what's supposed to be a happy time of year. Merry Xmas everyone!!!

This girl is such a wreck. I dont feel bad for her at all. She chose to be a drug addict and alcoholic. Thats nobodys fault but her own. She caused her own drama and she should just deal with it.
Are you a retard? Thats precisely what she is there, to deal with her problem. I don't believe one word from the bf employee, have you seen the size of that Woman? And let's not forget people like her loose their cool fast, Lindsay should sue her for breaching a confidentially contract under BF and counteraccuse her of attaking her which I'm sure she did.
