'God' speaks on upcoming memoir

According to Entertainment Weekly, the reason God inked a recent book deal with Simon & Schuster is because he’s “tired of being misinterpreted.”

The higher power recently spoke with EW about his upcoming memoir - as told to former "Daily Show" exec David Javerbaum - his Twitter account and (but of course!) Justin Bieber.

(It turns out that Javerbaum and God are represented by the same literary agency, according to a release from Simon & Schuster. He's also co-authored "America: The Book" and "Earth: The Book," as well as "What to Expect When You're Expected: A Fetus's Guide to the First Three Trimesters.")

The interview with God, which EW notes was just maybe aided by Javerbaum, cites James Frey, the Brothers Grimm, Aesop and Hans Christian Andersen as literary influences. The memoir will apparently cover a variety of topics, including: “[t]he secret history of Adam and Steve; what it was like working with Moses, St. Peter, Mohammed and other legends of the field; which sports teams I truly root for (hint: Go Blue Jackets!); and, because I can see everyone at all times, I will have much to offer by way of celebrity gossip. It will be in a section that I will call ‘God-sip’!”

There isn't much of this “God-sip” on his Twitter page however, where God muses on pop culture, sports, and how he can get Justin Bieber, the only person he follows, to notice him.

“OMB I totally totally love the Bieb!” God told EW. “He is awesome! BTW, his new song ‘Pray’? He wrote it 4 Me! How cool is that?!? #purpleglasses”

According to a press release from Simon & Schuster, God's memoir should hit shelves sometime in late 2011.

FACT: WE HAVE TO TELL THE TRUTH. THE TRUTH IS SIMPLE AND CLEAR....
MANY WHO STUDY RELIGION KNOW THAT THE CHURCH HAS LIED
ABOUT MANY DOCTRINS THEY TEACH....MOST DOCTRINS HAVE PAGAN
    (WHICH MEANS NON CHRISTIAN) BACKGROUNDS.
SOMEHOW THEY COUNTED ON PEOPLE BEING JUST FOLLOWER AND
NOT STUDENTS OR READER OF THE BIBLE...AND SLAVES TO MEN.
AND YES MANY MINISTERS HAVE BECOME RICH.......IT STOPS HERE!
    DO YOUR RESEARCH....LEARN, LEARN, LEARN,
    THEIR HOLIDAYS HAVE PAGAN BACKGROUNDS...
THE BIBLE IS A BOOK FROM GOD. IT WILL NOT
    SUPPORT THE LIES.

They (atheists) only agree on the fact of denying God, not the philosophical aspects of life. Each one follows that pattern of their own soul. Religion cannot bridge this signature but God can to unite the soul to Himself. True religion crucifies the aspiration of the imagination, while false religion uses doctrine to aspire ones goals in life. People use religion as a guide to their choices of life, and atheists use their own social education and prejudices. Temperament is not a religious or nonreligious choice but what is nurtured in the soul by the individual.
But fruit of God’s grace is a result of regeneration, this is a proven fact. So the standard of righteousness is Christ, not the habits of man.
Except why you resource the signature of the soul (which God gives) and argue your logic (God gave man reason) to deny the powers effecting the conscience, (which God does to draw you into salvation). Your logic fights against your conscience which is proof that God does exist.http://apostlestoday.net/

FACT: "THERE ARE THOSE WHO ARE CALLED "gods" WHETHER IN HEAVEN OR ON THE EARTH,
JUST AS THERE ARE MANY GODS AND MANY LORDS..... 1 corinthians 8:5
SO HUMANS HAVE THEIR OWN GODS, WHO IS NOT OF THE HOLY BIBLE..
ONE WHO DELUTE GOD'S WORD....'BUT OUR GOD IS IN HEAVEN"
AND IS GETTING READY TO TAKE COMPLETE CONTROL OF THIS EARTH!

Because it says so and because you believe it does not make your statement fact.

  7. Reality?

Why does something funny and entertaining bring out a "can you top this?" posts from those who think the world is one DVD or book away from the end of religious belief/faith? I am sure those who wish to believe in whatever God they choose to believe in are not going to suddenly abandon their faith because of a book that is likely to be seen as very funny–nothing more–and certainly not by a DVD from Julia Sweeney. If Julia is now an atheist, good for her–that's her choice. But what does that have to do with "putting a final nail in a coffin of religious faith?" And why does it matter? If you don't have any religious beliefs and if you don't have any faith, then why do you care if someone else does? And why do you care if a comedian agrees with you? How lonely you must be.

  8. Reality

Forget the topic book, (ex-Catholic now atheist) Julia Sweeney's monologue "Letting Go Of God" will be the final nail in the coffin of religious belief/faith and is and will continue to be more effective than any money-generating god book or religion blog. Buy the DVD or watch it on Showtime. Check your cable listings.

I'm actually reading his "Earth" book, and it's a hilarious book. I mean laugh-out-loud funny!
I can't wait until this one comes out, I'll read that one, too. I am sure it's going to offend a whole lot of folks, though!
