 'King's Speech' and 'Fighter' lead SAG nominationsThe nominees for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced on Thursday morning with royalty and a boxer leading the way. "The King's Speech" and "The Fighter" both received four nominations, followed closely by "The Kids Are All Right" and "Black Swan" which each received three. "The King's Speech" has been critically acclaimed and was also the darling of the Golden Globe nominations which were announced on Tuesday. On the small screen, "Modern Family" racked up four nominations while "30 Rock," "Dexter," "Glee," and "Mad Men" all received three. The following is a list of nominees:

Glad Bridges got nominated for True Grit. It's a travesty he wasn't nominated for a Golden Globe. I hope Bale wins Supporting Actor. He's my favorite actor, period. But how is Jim Parsons not nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy??? He plays one of the funniest characters on television today. That is just not right.
totally agree about Jim Parsons. He makes that show amazing and he should definitely be on the list of nominations!!
If you dont want to watch a movie then dont. we all have free will. judging people by what roles they play is ignorant and speeks volumes about your character. and to throw race cards in the mix is getting old black actors and actreses have alot going for them hell they have two networks for christ sake. or should we just give them the award because their black and not because they earned we have done that enough in this country. time to wake up and stop putting your hand out and earn what you are given
As someone who was on the SAG nominating committee this year, I can tell you that all SAG nominating committee members are not given access to screen all movies up for consideration. Therefore, the vote tends to be biased to the Hollywood and New York office who have access to all the films. Moreover, the SAG nominating committee do not select the actors for TV. I cannot tell you how that is even done since we are given a booklet which lists all the actors for six categories only: Best Leading Male, Best Leading Female, Best Supporting Male, Best Supporting Female, Best Ensemble and Best Stunt. It is highly disappointing and frankly misleading to suggest that the nominating committee members have full input on the nominations.
As you know and probably appreciate, this is a business and it is people who run it and therefore, there is an appearance of impropriety when the SAG nominating committee doesn't have access to all movies up for consideration even though we are told we should and do not fully participate in selecting the TV nominations. I personally have brought this up to the SAG awards team in Hollywood office who gave me this half-assed answer.

What a shame, I look at this list and what do you see? All White or 99.0%. It's a just racist that not one of these best actor awards included a person of color, Man or Woman. No wonder I don't waste my time or money. I don't see actors like me or subjects that interest me. I would pay to see a film with lead actors of color. Say a Drama or Romantic comody and action. Where are the Black Directors and Producers? Screen writers get there stories from books, Did they have all white caractors. TV is another white out, so I turn to HBO and Showtime and ESPN. So I don't care any for there award shows.
Or u could watch pro sports which is dominated by black people..why?...because they r better athletes than the whites...is that racist?...nope...maybe there havent been any good movies etc with black people....not racist....put away your race card..it is growing old!!

What about the Black Entertainment Award – where are all the white actors, producers, and directors. Didn't see you complaining then. We have a black president. After reading Natalie Portmans interview about black swan..i have decided not too see the movie..to my understanding their are s e x scenes between her and milas...very offensie ..if i want to see p o rn..i am sure its available...i want quality entertainment..if u cant do that without scandalous scenes than i know your movie isnt worth my money.
