Obsessions: It's beginning to look a lot like awards season...It’s that time of the year again, awards season, and already there is lots and lots of buzz about potential nominees in the fields of film and television. First up on Tuesday will be the Golden Globe nominations followed two days later by the Screen Actors Guild award nominations. (You can watch the live-streams here tomorrow and Thursday!) So who are critics, fans and industry types alike talking about this time around? Happy 21st, Taylor Swift! It’s Taylor Swift’s 21st birthday today, but don’t expect any paparazzi shots of the quintessential girl-next-door getting tipsy on next week’s tabloid cover. “I didn’t want it to be a crazy club thing,” Swift told Access Hollywood last week. “I just want it to be very me, and the ‘me’ thing to do would be to have a Christmas birthday party.” December babies often get snubbed with dual holiday/birthday celebrations, but Swift said she looks on the bright side – after all, she would much rather give than receive. 'Glee' production paused due to illness"Glee" doesn't exactly describe the mood of the hit Fox show's stars right now: Several of the cast members have come down with tonsillitis, causing a delay in production, a rep told the L.A. Times on Friday. While the "Glee" rep didn't mention which McKinley High students were silenced by sickness, star Dianna Agron, who plays cheerleader Quinn, wrote on her blog the same day of the illness announcement: "Note to self… should have gotten a flu shot. In bed, hoping that medicine, soup, my computer and a marathon of movies will be the cure.” The 24-year-old actress also included a photo of a teddy bear with a bandaged forehead and a thermometer in its mouth. 'Biggest Loser' will soon lose Jillian Michaels"The Biggest Loser" will be approximately 115 pounds lighter after next season: Trainer Jillian Michaels has announced that she's leaving the show. "Season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last...have to finish out my contract," Michaels tweeted December 7. As for the tough-as-nails trainer's replacement? "They already hired her," wrote Michaels. "Using my last season to help launch her in season 11." Billy Ray Cyrus tweets after Miley's bong video surfaces"Hannah Montana" fans may not be the only ones disappointed with Miley Cyrus after video of her doing a bong hit surfaced on Friday. "Sorry guys. I had no idea," her father, Billy Ray Cyrus tweeted later that day, reportedly in reference to the footage, according to Entertainment Weekly. "Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now." As Marquee previously reported, Billy Ray, 49, announced in October that he and Miley's mom, Tish, were divorcing. |
