More changes may be in store for 'American Idol'Looks like “American Idol” may be trying to kick things up a few more notches. According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” producers are considering several ideas for the upcoming season, including possibly having the Top 12 contestants live together in a house in the Hollywood Hills. No word yet on whether the show will feature behind-the-scenes footage of the Top 12 in their communal home. Said contestants may also be more accessible to fans via social networking. Last season’s group started out the season on Twitter, but those individual accounts were eventually discarded for a main, show account. There is also talk that this year’s contestants might take a road trip to Las Vegas to connect with the Beatles-inspired Cirque du Soleil “Love” show. CNN did not receive a response from Fox when contacted regarding the reported new changes. Other changes that have already been confirmed include new judges, a lower age limit for auditions, a move to Wednesday and Thursday nights and contestants being charged with creating their own music videos during the show.

That is how the show was in the beginning. This is nothing new. They used to live in a big mansion together. I remember years ago when Clay Aiken moved in to the mansion, the girls were giving him trouble because he was afraid of the pool. LOL
We need better education in our schools. Parents need to check your kids' homework with them. Instead of having your kids watch silly tv shows like American Idol or playing Wii all hours of the night, have them sit down and read a book. Please don't let your kids grow up to be like Pearl Harbor Girl. She is dumb and made a fool of herself on the internet. Her future looks bleak but its not too late for your kids.
Funny stuff!! When you want to make a point you need to make sure you get your facts right. I agree with "Laughing at Pearl.." America places to much value on trivial stuff and fail to understand that "those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it"....education is key.... make something of yourselves...other than a laughing stock.
Since when was there an age limit for talent.......i didnt realize that anyone over the age of 25 was too old to be talented.......guess that means that aerosmith and the rolling stones are dead huh??
What AI needs is a restriction on how many times you can vote each week! I don't even bother anymore since I can't sit up all night texting votes over and over.
Idol will not be the same without Simon. I'm sorry, but J-Lo and Steven Tyler will not be able to offer the same level of honesty that seems genuine without trying to make themselves appear intelligent.
Prediction: A.I. done in 2 seasons and Simon's new show will be a huge hit.
Just bring back Paula and Simon–and all will be well in Idol-land. Naybe Sanjaya too!
Please cancel this show. It was so great at first and has really gone down hill. Now you expect me to watch without Simon and with Jennifer Lopez, watch contestant's homemade videos, and watch them living in their house, trying to drum up some drama? Please! I miss the old A.I. and will NOT be tuning in anymore...just my opinion.
Idol the last couple of seasons was not very good, the new judges and these other changes should pretty much kill the show.
Please, no more Beatles nights!

TV is gimmick to get rating. Idea is there b/c there's an audience – American public. Signs of American values and its state.
I think the new chnges should be.. They should come clean and admit the whole show is a fraud and the phone calls have absolutely nothing to do with who wins.
I like to see a $2.00 per call /vote charge .Then use the money here in the US .

I don't care what they do with American Idol, as long as the Palin's stay far away from it. Momma Bear and Bristol Big Britches are clearly a dangerous duo. Besides, we'll be seeing plenty of them when dumb, Christain, fear-mongering America vote them into office in 2012. Seacrest out!

That's the nature of show business...If the people that audition for American Idol are serious about making it, it's a necessary step to get used to what they want to pursue. Everyone needs to learn to take criticism, particularly those who are trying to make it in a business that is so critical. I'm all for following your dreams, but sometimes the best way to provide for your family is to get a stable job.
