Jack Black and Jason Segel are getting quite animated this holiday – in every sense of the word.
The funnymen are starring in a new cartoon in which they duet on the 1977 Bing Crosby/David Bowie classic, "Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy."
The tuneful toon, which appears on CollegeHumor.com, opens with fretful "How I Met Your Mother" star Segel, 30, heading over to Black's house because he needs more ginger for the cookies he's baking.
"Well, you've come to the right place," says a cheery Black, who sports a Christmas tree sweater vest. "I've got a ginger bushel out back - take a whole sprig!"
It's not long before Segel notices the "School of Rock" star's pine-log piano, which Black, 41, claims was built by his grandfather and is sprinkled with magic winter dust by Santa Claus himself.
"When one plays it during this season, things can get pretty freakin' awesome," Black warns Segel.
Indeed, Segel begins to play and the two begin a modest version of "The Little Drummer Boy" before rocking out amidst trippy images with "Peace on Earth."
"This old chestnut was dying to be rock-ified," Black has said about the video. "Enjoy!"
